Came to Barrow for family party and this hotel was a 10 minute walk from the venue so that was great. Free parking but limited availability - we were lucky to squeeze in a space. On booking I'd asked for a quiet room so we were put on the third floor, front. The room was very small but adequate. Bathroom...

Have just returned from an overnight with my husband & 13 year old son. Prior to booking, I had checked online reviews & on the basis of these reviews I was looking forward to spending the night away in a lovely hotel. We had planned on dining in the hotel restaurant on Saturday night & trying some cocktails. However, this...

Stayed overnight here Saturday 13th February for a Valentines treat. Firstly, if you're staying here, they have free parking access for residents across the road. We didn't realise this and instead paid for an overnight pass in the train station car park nearby (only £3 so not a deal breaker). Building looks lovely from the outside and even better on...

Stayed with my husband for one night room was very clean and pleasant enough, you get what you pay for, bar area nice and lively with a good atmosphere. Breakfast was really good and all the staff I encountered were polite and helpful. Would stay again.

Stayed here for one night at the beginning of February, great hotel in a great location, reasonably priced, staff pleasant and attentive, rooms spacious and huge kingsize bed, we upgraded for a small additional price to the executive suite which is well worth the extra, but be careful if your tall because it's easy to bang your head on an...

Car park on opposite side of very busy crossroads! Not good for carrying case/bags etc. Very very slow lift. From the outside it looks old and tired. Room was great. Very modern and large. Despite being on a busy road it wasn't noisy. Food/bar area was fine. Good food for dinner and breakfast. Pleasant staff.

Booked here for 2 nights but only stayed one due to work changing, I did ask if I could have another night in credit to use as another time but this wasn't possible which was a shame, I'd of been giving 5 out of 5 then. Really nice bar, I come in often for a drink, bar staff know there...

I've stayed at the Duke for the past 3 months and it's always been a pleasure to stay there. The staff are very pleasant and extremely helpful (even on the several occasions I've forgotten an item in my room following check out). The bar & restaurant downstairs serve great quality food and have a very good range of beers (local...

Conveniently located opposite the train station, this hotel has comfortable modern rooms with an excellent well stocked bar and restaurant. The best thing about this place was the staff, who were always helpful.

We booked a stay here for one night in November 2015 and have to say we were pleasantly surprised after reading some of the reviews on here. The room we had booked was a 'Double Executive' and it was so much bigger than we expected. It was clean, had an amazing bathroom and we only wished we could have stayed...
