This is our 3rd visit here, although it is an old building the place is vibrant during the day being right on the main street, with many folk calling in for coffee, lunch or a drink in the hotel or the Bank next door. Once again we were well looked after, all the staff we met were friendly and helpful....

Hi I had the pleasure of having a carvery here 9th of March. I live in Spain and was visiting my dad so I miss a good English roast and this didn't disappoint. Not the cheapest but the service and quality made it worth every penny.

We booked a room here to meet with family just after Christmas. The staff are lovely and nothing is to much trouble. We were given vouchers for the restaurant and other facilities. The room was immaculate and very comfortable. Would happily recommend.

The modern double rooms are very small as is the "double" bed. Room was soo hot the window had to be left open and the noise from the clubs outside was horrendous which didnt finish untill 2.30am. Burnt toast at breakfast and breakfast buffet table very sparse. Would not use this hotel again.

Hotel looks very impressive from outside and was in a central location. Arrived at 03.00 after being delayed and the night staff were very friendly and helpful even at this ungodly hour. For the price we paid was very impressed with the hotel and the room was clean, tidy and the king-size bed was oh so comfy but may be...

Clean room. Lunch time carvery excellent, beef very tender, eevening meal and breakfast good value. Only concern was being in town centre you could hear a lot of noise, talking and shouting so disturbed sleep but it was a Friday night.

Stayed here twice in the last week for business visits. Old hotel refurbished to a nice standard. The rooms are a little plain but clean and tidy. Decent TV in the room. Breakfast a little strange. I think the staff try to hard to be attentive and its a little awkward. Also the breakfasts are OK but nothing great. Avoid...

Stayed here for one night whilst on a music tour with a group of adults and children, for the price paid I wasn't expecting too much to be fair but was pleasantly surprised. Quite a number of areas looked like they had been updated and modernised (although there were a few that maybe still needed it too) Romms were not...

We decided to have a over night stay in Barnstaple. So the hotel was a late booking through booking.com. It was a late deal. The parking for the hotel is fairly well displayed as the sat nav trys to take you out the front but it is a pedestrian way. The hotel is right in the centre of Barnstaple. So...
