My husband and i have just had the most wonderful and relaxing weekend, staying at Barum Gate, the Premier Inn at Barnstaple. We try and stay here as often as we can as it is always excellent value for money and the facilities are always brilliant. The bed is a dream and so is the shower, the tea and coffee... More

Stayed for a weekend - clean and tidy, plenty of parking. Wasn't overly impressed with the restaurant Barum Gate next door and was glad we hadn't pre-paid for breakfast. The food for the continental breakfast wasn't being re-stocked and the 'Costa' coffee was served from refillable flasks?

Slightly disappointing Premier Inn experience. The room was in Barnstaple Inn’s rear building, overlooking the car parking area. Upon arrival, the room was not fresh smelling and its smaller than average size required the tea and coffee facility to be sited immediately above the hair dryer. Furthermore, the bathroom (which hopefully is scheduled for refurbishment) was not of the quality... More

This is one of the best Premiers we have stayed in. It's very clean and comfortable and the service is excellent. The restaurant is very popular so definitely worth booking a table. Food is predictable but still good for the price.

Nice clean comfortable rooms as expected with Premier Inns. Michelle on reception is a gem! She helped us find a nice place to eat in town as the restaurant was fully booked. Will stay again most definitely.

Really friendly staff who couldn't do too much to help. Room was clean and comfortable. Nice touch is the extra free tea a day coffee in a basket at reception in case you use it all in the room! Breakfast was the best I have ever had at a Premier Inn. Vegetarians have no worries at all here, as with... More

OK as usual with Premier Inn quality room with a Hypnos mattress and comfortable room. Went for the meal deal which includes two courses in my case a starter and a mixed grill main course. All was going well with excellent service from Emma my designated waitress. Still a bit peckish so thought I would pay the extra and go... More

Very friendly staff who always spoke when we passed through reception. Room comfortable and clean. Good night's sleep and surprisingly quiet. Loads of parking and opposite Tesco. Breakfast in Table Table next door ok but cold coffee and cooked food didn't have much taste.W would recommend a stay here.
