Clean modern hotel with friendly staff, very comfy bed and a good choice of food for breakfast. Really convenient for access to tourist attractions, bars & restaurants in the city centre. Would use this hotel again for any return visit.

This hotel always seems to have nice quiet rooms - no creaky floor boards. As you would expect from a Premier Inn the room is nice and spacious with a big comfy bed. Position of this Hotel is excellent being just a 5 minute walk from the Market square, But for the less mobile be aware there are a number...

Had aimed to stay in Durham for one night at Radisson Blu for a gig at The Gala Theatre but couldn't get booked in. A friend kindly recommended The Premier Inn bang next door to the Gala. Wasn't sure what to expect but was staggered how good this hotel actually was.Perfect location to see the many wonderful sights Durham has...

Excellent location right in the city centre with easy walking distance to the river, old city, cathedral and castle as well as located right behind a more modern area with theatre, cinema, restaurants and bars. Modern building, clean, tidy rooms as ever and a really quite night's sleep. Staff extremely helpful. Although there are major roadworks on the bridge nearby,...

Would recommend mist defnately. Downside is you have to pay for parking of £7.70 per day and roadworks around area at the moment are bad but did not put...

The hotel was fairly close to the station (down a steep hill), and very convenient for the World Heritage Centre - magnificent Durham Cathedral, Castle and Museums. Comfortable, modern bedroom with a large bed as standard with a very clean, up to date bathroom. We were on the fourth floor with nice views and very quiet. Reception staff were extremely...

Excellent service at what is a standard Premier Inn room (much the same up and down the country). That said the rooms are large comfortable and very well apointed with a first class ensuite. The location was excellent - easy walking into the city centre - castle and cathedral. The room was quiet with a view over open land towards...

Stayed here overnight. The hotel is in a good location for walking into the town centre. The room was clean and comfortable, no complaints about anything. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Outstanding customer service. Would definitely recommend.

Very clean and beds very comfortable. Loved the clean, possibly new pillows. Having worked as a housemaid know how grubby pillows get. Staff friendly and helpful, did get caught in the bridge closure at night. The pubs were closed about 12.00 so quiet after that.
