We booked to stay in St Aidans college almost a year in advance. We were 9 ex-students coming to Durham for a reunion 20 years after we graduated and it was important to us to stay in our old accommodation “J house”. With less than 2 weeks before we were due to stay we were told we had been moved...

We stayed in St Aidan's Business School accommodation for a holiday tour visiting famous religious sites (e.g. Durham Cathedral, Lindisfarne). It was a great holiday but the accommodation was disappointing. The double room was really a single with a 4 foot 6 bed. The over-bath shower was old and badly designed and there was no bath mat to prevent slipping...

Stayed here for a few days, and the food was very good and staff very helpful and friendly. However the room was dire! Damp and smelly, stains on roof and walls and really shabby. I dont think I would stay here again, but the rest of the facilities were fine for a conference centre.

Student twin room had comfortable beds, but no en-suite. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Toiletries and beverages were provided in the room. Certainly as good as a B&B if not the same as a hotel. Price...

My husband had always wanted to visit Durham, we could tag it onto the end of a few days away so I looked for a cheap option. Up came St Aidans College. The upside was that the price included breakfast, the downside being shared bathroom facilities. With only staying for one night, thrift ensued! The college's own location instructions bear...

Stayed for one night in order to attend concert in Durham City. Booked a single room, not en-suite for £30 which i thought to be a very good price for a Saturday night and this included breakfast. The accommodation was fairly difficult to find and the post code given did not match up with the college although it was only...
