It is a lovely hotel/restaurant to stay. It is not one of the modern buildings, but I like the traditional houses more anyway. Thus , I enjoyed the style. We had a spacious en-suite room. We liked the cleanness. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It is ideal for visiting Durham or Bishop Auckland.

Stayed 1 night at this B&B, family room was a nice size with 2 queen beds. However as we didnt stay in the main building but an annexe building, it was cold and the sound proofing wasnt very good. Hot food wasnt available during breakfast. The inhouse indian restaurant was fantastic.

Found online but booked cheaper by phone. Working in Durham but hotel prices are pretty steep there. This is 4 miles drive from the city centre and on a direct bus route. Very comfortable and clean newly refurbished ensuite rooms and a simple but adequate breakfast. Not a fry up but fine. Well stocked bar and very friendly and helpful...

Stayed for three nights in the family room and it was a lovely stay. The room was big and clean and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Used the park and ride at the uni just down the road for £2 return into durham which ran every 10 mins so really easy. Well worth a visit.

Was ok. Comfortable bed and clean rooms. Didn't get the chance to try breakfast as couldn't get into the restaurant so just headed home. Would I book again? Probably not. Indian restaurant attached to the pub smelled delicious but didn't get a chance to try it.

We spent a couple of nights at the Inn whilst 'up north' visiting family & friends, and ate at the Indian restaurant. The establishment has recently been refurbished, so everything is fairly pristine and kitted out Ikea standard. Our room was spacious and warm with en-suite shower. Water hot and WiFi strong! Breakfast was more of a basic continental offering,...

I was working in Durham and booked it because of the price. Easy to find and plenty of parking. I stayed only one night and the room was basic, but clean with TV and ensuite. The curry I had was one of the best I have ever eaten. I would go.back based solely on the food.

Every other good review on this property is absolutely bang on. The rooms are spotless, comfortable and quiet. The restaurant I'd reasonably priced and the good fabulous. Lots of major shops in nearby suburb. Easy drive into Durham with a major car park right at the main intersection. All in all an excellent property!
