First time I've been here since it reverted back to King lodge from Finbarrs, the restaurant was quiet but only to be expected considering it was a Tueday. Our waitress was pleasant and efficient, food didn't take long to arrive,i suspect that the starters were microwaved and not fleshly cooked but nevertheless both were good choices. I had the Kingslodge burger and...

This Hotel is in a good location near to the train station but just a short walk into Durham Centre. The hotel has very friendly staff but they could definitely do with more help. They were run off their feet. Breakfast was a bit of a let down. They had run out of juice and butter to start with, there...

The Kingslodge Hotel is really lovely and a great location to explore Durham. We had a double and 2 single bed rooms which were nicely decorated, spacious and clean. It was a short walk to the river, cathedral and town. A beautiful city. We had our evening meal, breakfast and Sunday lunch at Kingslodge all of which were of a...

Having never been to Durham we made the journey with our son to visit the Uni. If he decides that Durham is the Uni for him, we will definitely use The Kings lodge Inn again. The Staff were lovely, they really could not have been any friendlier or more helpful. The restaurant food (we had both breakfast and evening meal)...

Another visit to the hotel restaurant as non-residents, which was once again fantastic. Plentiful portions of tasty food make it great value for money. Wonderfully courteous staff and dog friendly too. Perfect!

Have been here a good few times now and never disappointed. Great Sunday lunch, and very good choice daily menu (especially for me as I don't eat meat). Sat out the front, and at the back with our little dog , but you can also sit inside in the bar area with the dog if you wish. All staff are...

Stopped here for 3 nights as it is a short walk from the city centre, but has loads of parking. Unfortunately, a major construction project has just started next door, so the noise and vibration was awful when we arrived. But the hotel itself is lovely, the restaurant is bright and modern, the food is good, and the rooms are...

Beautiful location near the train station. The hotel has a great atmosphere and the hosts are very friendly and seem passionate about the hotel and making sure all guests are comfortable.
