On arrivall on the Friday we found the entrance to the rear car park a little tight to get in but once in there is room for about 8 cars, we were then welcomed at the door by the owners and promptly shown to our rooms, we found both rooms to be clean well decorated and very comfortable. The showers...

The location was superb, pity this Hotel has been let go. It requires a lot of maintenance. The outside balcony on the first floor, accessed from our room was lovely, but the decking was in a state of disrepair as were the wooden seats. It lacked any imagination, no flowers, plants or anything to make the area more 'guest friendly'.Our...

Everyone is entitled to an opinion and can write almost anything they like as a review but should take care to get their facts right in order to make a fair assessment. The first thing to take into consideration is that The Braemar is a guest house/bed and breakfast and not a hotel. As such we don't have large rooms...

This place, The Braemar, is as lovely & warm of a B&B Guest House as you are ever likely to stay in. Me & my family have stayed here repeatedly, year after year, over the last 10 years & will be staying here again in July/August time next year. The Owners, Mary & Kelly, are as lovely a couple a...

We arrived at the B&B having heard bad reviews, and how very wrong they were! Well I have absolutely no complaints about this B&B great hosts, clean rooms, good breakfast, parking and a short stroll to the seafront and local bars, all in all myself and friends were very happy and will definitely recommend to others and come back again...

On arrival, parking was good, a private carpark. The staff at reception were friendly. The room was good value for money, very acceptable. The hotel boasted a pool table, bar and lounge room they also provided a decent breakfast.

Don't come here expecting a 5* hotel, but at this price, there is no reason to complain. En-suite bedrooms, cooked breakfast, adequate parking, clean and comfortable, close enough to the sea front, and in the centre of Shanklin with its shops, pubs, and restaurants.

A nice clean B and B with a nice sized single room on the ground floor. The breakfast was excellent being very well presented and plenty of it. The hosts were extremely pleasant and kindly let me keep my bag at the hotel on the day of my departure until I collected it in the evening. My only little gripe...

We stayed for a week but would have happily stayed longer. Mary and Kelly are laid back and friendly and a lovely couple to be with. They can't do enough for you and while their hotel is simple, it is immaculately clean with bedrooms cleaned daily and fresh towels every other day. The breakfast is tasty and varied and can't...

This is one of the cheaper hotels in Shanklin and is good value for money. Hotel was very clean and breakfast was good. Location was ideal as in the heart of village. Mary was a friendly and welcoming host and I would definitely stay here again.
