We chose both this hotel and our particular room (Victoria and Albert) from the hotel web site.We were not disappointed -in fact quite the reverse. The welcome from David was genuine and informative, as was his hospitality and attention each morning at breakfast. The views are spectacular, the internal décor and furnishings are exquisite and the standard of housekeeping is outstanding both in public rooms and bedroom. The gardens alone are worth a visit and this hotel (more accurately David and Arielle's home) is an exceptional property of which they are rightly proud and genuinely happy to share with you. The staff we met at breakfast service, the gardeners were most professional and matched the brand and ethos of this quality experience. Thank you.
Just back from 4 days in this wonderful hotel. Lovely room, great service, fabulous position on cliff above the sea. The garden is magnificent as are the public rooms. We didnt use the pool but it looked very nice. Breakfast was excellent, cooked to order. Many fine restaurants nearby which David will recommend. The cliff walk just outside the garden is superb, with steps down to the beach and lovely cafes on route. Cowes and Yarmouth are well worth visiting, as is Osbourne House ( dont miss the Royal beach and bathing machine!). With excellent weather and a carefree and enjoyable ferry crossing from Southampton, who need the South of France? Expensive but worth it.
A beautiful hotel with breathtaking views over the sea in Shanklin. A very warm welcome from David who showed us round the beautiful grounds and to our room. We loved that the room was a suite with a separate lounge and kitchen. Inside, the reception area of the hotel was thoughtfully decorated and we loved our cooked breakfast each morning with coastal views. We were able to relax in the grounds, take a dip in the swimming pool and enjoy many trips out to places of interest. We particulary enjoyed being close to the coastal path for walks and being able to stroll into Shanklin in the evening for dinner. Thank you David and Arielle for a lovely stay.
Just spent a few days at this wonderful hotel in Shanklin. It is the perfect place to visit the Island. The owners David and Arielle extend a warm personal welcome to their beautifully restored country house. They are justifiably proud of the hard work they have put into turning this house into an elegant and exquisitely detailed country retreat. We took a sea view suite, the room was a generous size, with a very comfortable super king-sized bed, and fitted so elegantly, and properly air-conditioned. The bathroom was a good size, again fitted thoughtfully to a high standard. There are extensive facilities from a solar heated outdoor pool, tennis court and sauna to large elegant gardens to relax in and read a book. The views are simply stunning overlooking Sandown Bay. There is plenty of parking for your car, and yes for your helicopter too. Breakfast is served in the main dining room which is a lovely sunny room overlooking the bay. Choices at breakfast are extensive and prepared freshly for you. What isn't to like. We had a lovely weekend break and cannot recommend staying at the Haven Hall too highly, it was perfect. We will be back next year.…
David, Arielle and Haven Hall never disappoint - the standards do not falter, the welcome is always warm and sincere. The only wish we have on arrival is that we would love the time for a longer stay; on departure, we have already booked our next break at this haven by the sea.
Havel Hall Hotel was the perfect retreat to relax and recharge during our stay on this beautiful island. Its location allows you to take in amazing views of the coastline. Our "Tennyson Room" was luxuriously furnished, comfortable, clean, light and airy. The heated swimming pool, tucked away from the hotel itself, was an added bonus during our stay. Breakfast was delicious and having this outside allowed us to take in breathtaking views of the sea, it was just a perfect start to the day. A big thank you to David and Arielle for welcoming us into their beautiful home which we would love to visit again one day.
Our family stayed in the Penthouse Suite and had a lovely experience. The staff were friendly to the children and did everything to make them feel at home. The views from the garden overlooking the cliffs are magical to see and we had a bit of coffee on the balcony just taking in the views. They have manicured the garden to a wonderful degree. The kids loved the swimming pool. The fridges are well-stocked. Breakfasts were nice and David always was keen for a chat and made some recommendations of things to do, roads to take and how to best utilise our time on the island. The facilities are powered by solar energy and batteries if you are a fan of sustainability. Hopefully will be back for a golf trip in the not so distant future.
Haven Hall is a top-quality hotel with a beautiful location and accommodating hosts in David & Arielle. The attention to detail is second to none, they work to ensure that your stay is as you want it even before you arrive and spend time during your stay to make sure that everything is right. The beds are very comfortable, the furnishings are high quality and breakfasts are excellent. Thoroughly recommend!
We stayed at the hotel with our dog, in one of the dog friendly suites which was perfect for us. The room was clean and had a lovely closed in garden. He was allowed off the lead in the hotel gardens which made the stay very relaxing for us. The hotel is stunning, spotless and has spectacular views over the coast. We felt that the pictures almost didn’t do the hotel justice as you can’t appreciate all the beautiful intricate details that have been thought of in the grounds and hotel. David and Arielle were great hosts and couldn’t have been more accommodating. We loved our stay and hope to return to the hotel soon.
Our first visit. It was amazing. The hotel is gorgeous, in a beautiful location overlooking the sea with lovely gardens, heated outdoor pool and grass tennis court. Our suite was very comfortable, with a day bed in the living room for our son, and well equipped kitchen. The owner was extremely welcoming, and each morning he offered us tips for what to do according to the weather that day. Delicious breakfast (with lots of gluten free options) was cooked to order, and served by two very helpful and friendly staff members. We had a relaxing break and hope to be back.
