Lovely welcome from Debbie on arrival closely followed my mark who kindly took my 8.5 months pregnant daughters bags for her to her room. We spent two nights here and wasn't disappointed, the rooms where clean so nicely decorated well equipped, towels, toiletries, tea, coffee all of very good quality. The breakfast was superb so much choice and cooked beautifully. We...

Warmly greeted by Debbie on arrival who runs The Fawley with husband Mark and daughter Anna - all were kind and helpful. Our red room, which was situated at the front of The Fawley, was cosy and well presented with welcome tray (fresh milk on request) bottled water, and toiletries in the en suite. The breakfast was superb and really...

I feel the glowing reviews on Trip Adviser for this hotel are really very generous, and when I checked in I went back on Trip Adviser to re-read them. I don't feel that the Fawley justifies more than two stars, perhaps 2.,5. The room was small, a bit bland, and the shampoo/conditioner etc wasn't replenished on day two of my...

I'm very sorry to hear that your stay wasn't to the standard you'd expected. Regarding the breakfast our menu does state that eggs are fried with a full english unless otherwise requested when ordering. Perhaps next time you take issue with food in a hotel you could let staff know before you leave in order for the situation to be...

Spent an evening at The Fawley prior to a show at Shanklin theatre. We were welcomed by the owner who was extremely helpful with information about the local area, and made us feel right at home. The room has all the amenities you could need (hairdryer, tea/coffee, toiletries) fabulous hot shower and comfortable bed. The breakfast choice is also excellent...

My wife and I brought our two small boys over from the USA to ride the Isle of Wight Christmas steam train December 10th and wanted to stay in Shanklin. The owners of The Fawley were so kind and hospitable, the room was so nice and welcoming, and breakfast was absolutely incredible -- definitely ask for the pancakes! We were...

We stayed for a long weekend and from the moment we arrived we were treated as honoured guests. Service was excellent and the breakfast superb. The room was beautifully decorated (rm3) and had everything we could need for our stay. Great location too and only a short walk to the town or the seafront. Knowledge of local attractions and current...

Reasonably well situated up from the sea front. Steep hill to access the sea front. Limited parking spaces, which may be a problem in season, due to limited on-road parking Comfortable room with excellent breakfast each day. The hostess listens to your food likes/ dislikes and caters accordingly. Do contact the hotel to book, rather than use booking sites and...

We had a wonderful stay at The Fawley. The rooms were perfectly clean and were beautifully decorated, breakfast was delicious, and the owners were lovely and super helpful, even booking the ferries for us from Southampton. It is the cutest little inn with information about some of the sights on the island and a variety of board games if you...

This was a quick visit for a working weekend and I was attracted by the high ratings given to this guest house. I was not disappointed. Reasonable price, spotless accommodation and outstanding breakfast. Also free parking - if you arrive early enough.
