We had a lovely afternoon tea which was excellent value. A Lovely homemade scone with clotted cream and Jam. Lovely sandwich selection including salmon and cream cheese and gammon and mustard. The petit fours were obviously shop bought and frozen, but they were fine considering the price we paid. Service was friendly, we even got a free top up of tea. I would have preferred a sugar bowl rather than packets of sugar, just a bit more refined, but that’s not a big deal. Overall we enjoyed it, it was great value and we will be back. Thank-you ! Andy x

Hotel's Favourite
Another wonderful stay at Luccombe Hall. Thank you to all the amazing staff and management. We first stayed last year and booked on our last day to come again this year. This year we booked whilst there again for next year - do I need to say more? Ok then I will … Firstly and, for me, most importantly, this place is spotless. The rooms are immaculate with beds made, bathrooms tidied round and fresh towels every day if you wanted them. Couple of things about the rooms - the plug sockets have USB ports so no need to bring adapters and the toilet roll is really good quality - daft, but I hate going to good hotels (and centerparcs may I add!) and the loo roll being really cheap and thin. Secondly and, most importantly for my husband, was the music! Each night of our stay was a different musician and each one was incredible. We sat looking at each other each night saying ‘can you believe this is in our hotel!’ It was absolutely exceptional. We tried to make sure we were back washed changed dinner eaten and into the bar ready each night. Thirdly and, for my 10 year old, most importantly, the outdoor pool was MEGA! This is heated (and I mean properly heated) so that mum also got in and we had some great full pool days. Plenty of lounges for sunbathing and reading too, not to mention the toddler pool and hot tub. A great sunny spot and we loved it. Another hit was the new additions to the games room - last year was all about the air hockey and this year was a hands down winner for foosball and the basketball nets. These were new additions this year and all free to play! Fourthly and, for my father in law, most importantly, the food is delicious! We stayed dinner bed and breakfast and cannot fault it. We went with three generations and we all ate like kings and queens. Couple of things about the food - the coco pops are actual coco pops (yay!) and the eggs royale at breakfast was divine. The standard of food and restaurant service is spot on. Fifthly and, for my mother in law, most importantly are the people. The management and staff at Luccombe Hall are, without exception, all blumin lovely. My mother in law walked into the hotel and said ‘it feels like coming home!’ Everyone is smiling, they cannot do enough for you and we saw all the same staff as last year - that speaks volumes. Thank you to every single one of you. The ones supplying fresh towels , the ones helping when my mother in law had a fall, the ones seemingly knowing when a fresh pot of breakfast tea was needed. The ones always there with a smile and a natter at reception and the ones introducing me to Mermaid Zest Gin - an absolute revolution in gin !! The money being ploughed into this place is clearly evident. My in laws room had had a huge balcony added and a complete new bathroom ! The outdoor pool area had been totally renovated to upgrade the pool, put in a toddler pool and make a far bigger relaxing area with brand new furniture making the best of surely the most magnificent views on the island. A new lookout had appeared with a telescope. The bar area had all new chairs and and sofas , a new bandstand for when musicians can play in the stunning gardens - this place seems to be striving year on year to go that extra mile and I can’t wait to see what next year brings. So …. would I recommend this place? YES! Thank you all so much for another fabulous family holiday where you helped make some brilliant memories for each of us. See you all next year.

The Luccombe Hall was one of the few hotels open at the end of November AND they served dinner every evening of the week. Great location close to the Old Village with lovely views over Sandown Bay and Culver Cliff. The bed/breakfast/evening meal deal was good value. The food quality was great. Very friendly staff. Easy on-site parking.

Our stay exceeded our expectations, from our beautifully refurbished room to breakfast cooked to order. We really enjoyed the facilities on offer - indoor heated pool, sauna and we had our own private hot tub. The staff were first class, from the lady who cleaned our room, the staff on reception and the dining room, to the maintenance staff who kept the facilities in order. The location and sea views are lovely and if Luccombe Hall is like this when the days are at their shortest, we can’t wait to come back in the late spring or summer next year.

WOW! An amazing night away. We had a garden room with a hot tub. The room was well presented and spotlessly clean. We had a dressing gown and slippers for use with hot tub. Breakfast was lovely with a good choice

We have stayed here a few times now and have enjoyed it each time. The staff were lovely and the meals were very enjoyable. We upgraded to a balcony room and were very glad we did. An excellent room, very clean and tidy with a great view. Nothing to fault and we will certainly look forward to a longer stay next year. We also thought the meal and bar prices were very reasonable which is a real bonus these days and a pleasant change.

We enjoyed our two day break at Luccombe Hall recently. Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely ground floor sea view room. Shower not the best - took a long time for hot water to come through and nowhere for toiletries in the shower. Food - dinner and breakfast - really good .
