Ther rooms at the back have wonderful views of the airconditioning/heating pipes, but the breakfast more than makes up for that. It is varied, substantial and sets you up the day ahead. It is idealy place for the town and it;s facilities

My daughter was due to stay at this guest house for one night only. Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances she was unable to be accommodated. A full explanation was given and my daughter appreciated the reason. We presume it was the owner who made contact and was very apologetic. Full marks for being a caring establishment and putting people before...

Using the Cara as a base during the week whilst working in the area. Very good value for money - the guesthouse is clean and welcoming and Carol is very flexible. Would definitely recommend if you want somewhere quiet to stay yet be close to amenities.

Really disappointed. Lovely location but that's all. This place needs some updating. Shabby shower facility. No toiletries and whilst appreciate is not expensive, it just feels tired and poor. Won't be back am afraid.

We booked a family room ( 2 adults and 3 kids), I only realised upon arrival that it was not an ensuite, but never mind I thought it would be a cosy guest house with shared bathroom with just few other guests and the lady was very welcoming and told us where we could park the car in a side...

Stayed one night, arranged at the last minute. Welcome was good. Room was spacious, at the back of the house and quiet. En suite (though for some reason the wash basin was not in the en-suite area). Tea making and hairdryer provided, also toiletries, but only small towels. There is no immediate parking though we were able to get a...

Had a superb stay at Cara's Guesthouse. Fantastic location right on the sea front. Excellent value for money - would definitely recommend to anyone looking for somewhere nice to stay in Whitley Bay. The beds were very comfortable and the cooked breakfast was lovely. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful!
