#5 of 7 hotels in Blairgowrie
Welcome to the the Angus Hotel & Spa, its is an excellent choice for travellers visiting the Highlands of Scotland and stopping off at Blairgowrie for a few days, the hotel is right in the heart of the the town and faces the the square . The hotel was a born as a traditional coaching inn, and is family owned and managed. The hotel is modern in look and feel inside, yet still has elements of Scottish charm and character. The rooms are smart and have comfy beds and a hot shower, and they have all the amenities you would expect in a 3 star hotel. There is a lift to all floors, and a mix of different room styles, catering for couples to small family groups, not forgetting our newly launched Spa with pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. While you’re in Blairgowrie, be sure to check out some of the cafes, including Cateran Cafe, The Dome Restaurant & Takeaway, and Berties, all of which are a short distance from Angus Hotel. Enjoy your stay in Blairgowrie!

Do not accept room 118 if you want a quiet night opposite a pub door, the shower fell off, peeling paper on ceiling. I paid £100 for the privilege of staying here. The staff were nice. breakfast was good.

Bedroom dated, shower wouldn't drain properly, bedroom far too hot. Couldnt leave the window open for the noise Website states walls are soundproof however we could hear snoring coming from the next room. AVOID ROOM 104 Kitchen Extractor fan was directly outside the bedroom window, it was like a tractor outside, you could hear the music from downstairs, when it stopped the screaming teenagers started. A very noisy hotel !!

This is the second time we have been to this hotel.. The 1st night we struggled with the heat in the room but next again day it cooled down and managed to sleep better. We had afternoon tea but we found when we were there in October the afternoon tea was of better choice/quality. .. There was supposed to be an option adding on wine for £3 or £6 for a bottle of prosecco which we weren't offered. The evening meal was a good choice and portions were huge. The restaurant staff were very accommodatlng as they set up a table in the snug so we could eat with the dog and also in the morning we could eat in the lounge so we could be together with the dog A visit to the Sps is a must and Tessa gives the most fantastic hot stone massage it was amazing.. I found it quite difficult getting in and out the hot tub but really. Impressed with the upgrade in the pool section.. It is also great you csn take your dog as they are part of the family and should be allowed to be there. We are looking forward to our next trip in this wonderful hotel.. Keep up the good work. Special thanks to all the staff.

We visited on the afternoon tea, dinner, bed and breakfast deal and enjoyed it so much we booked again. The pool was nice, can't wait to see it when the whole spa is finished. Staff were friendly and afternoon tea and dinner were very tasty. Bedrooms were, as other ppl mention, a little dated but they were spotless and the beds comfy. Already looking forward to our next visit.
