Gary was a very welcoming host, attentive and non invasive. We stayed in Room 5 superior king room. Wow we were blown away by the decor, cleanliness and attention to detail. On entering the room you could smell the fabric softener of the robes hanging on the door, and a room diffuser on the fire mantel that smelt sublime. The bathroom was a good size, and immaculate. Small details of makeup remover cloth, and a vanity set. Gorgeous toiletries. Towels pristine and white. The bedroom was adequate for our needs, the bed was extremely comfortable, gorgeous sumptuous pillows, and the bedding was beautiful. Nespresso coffee machine and pods are great and tunnocks tea cake and caramel logs biscuits. The signature Ivybank chocolate was lush. Wooden hangers in the wardrobe, and plenty hanging space, slippers and hairdryer. Glasses and sparkling water provided also.. Gary snd Nigel have honestly thought if everything, my only gripe would be the WiFi wasn’t great, but to me it wasn’t a major issue. The dining room is just beautiful and again the decor is just gorgeous with soft classical music playing in background. We had full breakfast which was first class, piping hot well presented and delicious, 2 eggs for the amount would have been ideal. Table linen was pristine and white. The lodge location is ideal for the town centre. The outside and garden is just so quaint and well presented. A lovely little nook. We will most definitely stay again and would rather help out businesses like Gary and Nigel’s than big hotels. Look forward to staying again.

Neil and I enjoyed a 4 day break at Ivybank Lodge it was perfect ! The room we stayed in was beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. Gary has lots of local knowledge and can give information on things to see and do both locally and further afield - Nigel cooked us beautiful breakfasts whilst there - the full Scottish is delicious, however, if possible, you must also try the Haggis Rarebit - the cinnamon french toast was my particular favourite. We opted to dine in for our final night at Ivybank it was the best meal we ate during our tour round Perthshire - this guy can cook !! It was exquisite it truly was - eat in at the lodge if you get the chance - thank you so much Gary and Nigel it was just a lovely peaceful break for us with a warm welcome and delicious food x

We were met by one of the owners on arrival and checked in and given local info. We were at the top of the house which was nicely aired and quiet. The room had been renovated to a very high standard and was spacious with a hanging cupboard for storage. Breakfasts had a wide choice of traditional and innovative fare. We booked dinner on our second night, all the dishes were very good and the spicy prawn starter was exceptional. Service was attentive at all times. The Lodge has been granted a license and has a good wine list and a selection of local beers.

Ivybank Lodge is superb, in fact you almost run out of superlatives to describe the guesthouse. We have stayed in many hotels / guesthouses over the years and are sometimes disappointed that the reality doesn't match the descriptors or photographs in the advertising but Ivybank Lodge more than matched our expectations - we were completely blown away by the stunning accomodation and total attention to detail. The whole house is beautifully and tastefully decorated in keeping with the age and location of the property. After a restful night's sleep we enjoyed a scrumptious full highland breakfast chosen from a generous breakfast menu. A million thanks to Gary and Nigel for their very warm welcome and helpul suggestions for where we could visit in the locality. We will definitely visit again and hopefully stay a little longer the next time. Thankyou
