We stayed in this hotel last week and could not fault it,the location was good close to the sea and scenic gardens and a ten minute walk up to the main high street. We found all the staff very helpfull and polite, nothing was not to much trouble for them. The food served at meal times was very good with a wide range...

Just returned after a week's stay. Nice single room. Good variety of food for both breakfast and dinner. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Visited with a walking group and the area is beautiful. No complaints.

Just come back from a lovely week in this hotel. Great room overlooking the sea complete with cheeky seagull peering through the window. Warm and cosy with comfy bed. Staff exceptionally helpful and efficient. Thanks to all that made it possible to have an early breakfast and late evening meal. It caters for coaches and serves basic food but all...

Best thing about this hotel is its location. We found it ideal to wander out in the evening for a stroll and view the town's sites especially the harbour. The hotel I suspect caters primarily to coach tour parties at this time of year. It is an iconic Edwardian hotel - aged - rooms updated, but not enough so -...

Really nice and friendly hotel. The room was adequate clean and had all amenities. It would have been nice to have had a better view but it wasn't the end of the world. The food was again adequate but would have preferred a bit more variety. The staff were amazing they served at table, they cleaned the rooms, they served...

My wife and I went with Alfa coach holidays recently and stayed at the Imperial hotel for 4 nights. The bedroom was clean, although rather dated, bed comfortable although our floor ( and the room above ) had creaking floorboards. The breakfasts were good although the staff had too many tables to wait on so we had a long time...

Very comfortable, friendly atmosphere hotel, I can not find any criticism against a well run hotel.Room 421 was spacious but the view out of the window was of the adjacent property. The restaurant service was excellent, especially MARIA who was so charming. The only downside was the ugly "flowerpots" of the Landmark theatre, opposite.I recommend this hotel for more mature visitors.

Not bad for short break. Would not want to stay any longer. Bingo every night and cheesy entertainment from 3rd rate singers. After second night,we had to leave the room. You get what you pay for,so can,t complain. Our room was always clean. Fluffy towels everyday, and a very nice cleaner. The food is geared to the older generation,so it centred...

Our room was clean and spacious. The food and service was good but most of all the staff were so friendly and helpful. My daughter was ill and taken to Barnstaple Hospital while we were there and the Manager and Reception staff really put themselves out to help us.

We travelled as couple with Alfa staying at the hotel between 12th to 16th April. The Imperial is a really lovely hotel overlooking the bay. We had a very nice stay at the hotel and were made very welcome. It is a very well run hotel all of the employees worked very hard in all the departments of the hotel....
