The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The facilities in the room were great, particularly the shower which was really powerful. It was reasonably priced and the bed was comfortable. Great location right in the centre. We were really impressed with our stay, thanks to the staff for making us so welcome.

On a six-night Alfa Coach trip. Polite, professional, hardworking staff, a spotlessly clean room with some unexpected extras in the en-suite bathroom, excellent food and service throughout the week, and wonderful company to enjoy it all with, made us very sad to leave.

The Imperial is a nice position overlooking the gardens, close to the seafront and from the outside it's an attractive building. However once inside it's stuck in a 1980s time warp all swirly carpets and red wallpaper! The staff are very friendly but some do seem to struggle to speak English. The hotel is obviously used by coach tour companies so there are...

All staff were very friendly and helpful. Room clean, sea view. Seagull visiting us each day tapping on window and calling out. Food was very good, service sometimes was a bit slow. All staff were very smart.

If you are looking for boutique hotel with swanky bathrooms and satellite TVs this hotel isn't for you. But if you want a genuine seaside hotel that's spotlessly clean, with new linen and towels, helpful, polite and professional staff then this place is for you. It's not trying to be anything other than this.

Nice staff, clean rooms, had a 5 month old baby with us and his cot was set up next to the bed waiting for us. Quick easy check in check out process. Also the car parking was right behind the hotel, easy access. Close to the river and a short drive from the many beaches of Ilfracombe.

After the horrible experience at the Bluebird Hotel (or whatever he is calling it now...there seem to be a few different versions) we arrived here tired, hungry and in desperate need of comfort and just for someone to be nice to us. We found heaven! Clean, comfortable, cozy, great staff who will go over and above for everyone. We we're...

Wonderful seaside resort. Hotel was really nice and the staff really made an effort to cater for all the guests. Car parking was limited to only 7 cars but off season parking is so cheap you don't mind paying .Would definitely go again for new year
