Our family stayed for 2 nights recently, greeted with a warm welcome Lynne the owner showed us to room number 2. Currently being refurbished but a lovely spacious room. Don't be put off by the décor it adds to the character. A wide range of breakfast options this included cereals, croissants, fruits, cooked food, juices and tea/coffee, even our four...

I stayed at the Sherborne Lodge for two night recently and enjoyed my stay very much. On arrival the owner Linda upgraded me to a double room which was very quiet and warm with a very comfortable bed with excellent quality bed linen.Linda is in the process of decorating and updating the hotel having only recently purchased the property so...

Value for money at £50 a night. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The decor is dated, but adds to the character, a change from the chain hotels. The owner Lynne was welcoming and when I arrived she was busy decorating taking pride in her work. I would stay here again.

Was an odd stay. Dark and out of date however, with a bit of paint it wouldn't take a lot to change that. Bedroom decor didn't match... Again if it did match it probably would of brought the room together more. Our bathroom loo holder fell off the wall. The lady was lovely and welcoming, showed us to our rooms....

The location of sherborne lodge is really good close to the town and local area. However, the place smells like stale cigarettes and lost dreams. the rooms are clean, nice clean beds, however the chairs in the rooms had stains on them. the showers have no pressure and the bathrooms were dirty. i would say it is rather expensive for...

Lovely hotel, only a short walk from the town centre and harbour-front. Breakfast was very good; wide variety of choices available from fruit, yoghurt, cereal and toast to a full English (which was cooked really well). We also had the Sunday dinner and it was delicious; choice of meat, selection of fresh seasonal vegetables and accompaniments. The rooms were clean...

The beds are very comfortable; there is free wifi. It is an old building and in need of some work which is being done with no disruption to guests. The toilet and shower facilities are perfectly adequate. What makes the excellent mark is the genuine warm welcome from the proprietor. we were a family of five in two rooms and...

Bathroom was horrid, had excrement around the base of the toilet when we arrived and water poured out the back if flushed, the owner did have this repaired thankfully, but it was not cleaned properly. Very poor pressure in the shower also, it was like being dribbled on. The rest of the room was clean, but the decor was quite...

This is the second time we have stayed here in the matter of 3 weeks. The host Lynne is a fantastic host and I know she will do very well. The breakfast as always was superb (and to give Betsy our dog a bowl of sausages and scrambled egg was such a lovely touch). Obviously dogs made very welcome. I...

Stayed here recently for 4 nights in the ground floor room and really enjoyed the experience. Lynne has only recently taken over - I think she said from February 16 and admitted that the place needs redecoration and they will do this ongoing . However my room was clean and the bed comfortable and the breakfasts cooked by Laura were...
