We've returned home today from a night away in The Olive Branch! It was truly wonderful. The room was lovely! I'm always anxious staying away from home because I get so hot in the night but I was delighted to find that I was able to control the radiator easily! I had the best night's sleep I've had in a long time! The bed was superb. The view from our top floor room was beautiful, we also loved that it was very central and we could explore the town easily. It was so nice we could just come and go as we pleased too, we had a key for the front door and then our room. The Olive Room next door was cosy and such a nice vibe. We ordered a meat and cheese board which was lovely and the best camembert I've ever had! Breakfast was included and also delicious, a really good choice of cooked breakfast and also a little buffet of cereals and toast toppings. Highly recommend for couples.

We arrived early (1.30pm) and were surprised to find the hotel all shut up. However we rang the phone number supplied and very soon after were contacted by the owners who were very helpful and let us check in. We would recommend room number 1 on the top floor as it has smashing views over the town.
We wanted to do the Woolacombe parkrun at 9am and wouldn’t get back until after breakfast so they very kindly parcelled us up a delicious take away breakfast.

I stayed here at the Olive Branch in Ilfracome at start of June this year. I can highly recommend the B&B accommodation! Great location, a few minutes walk from the historic quaint harbour, with its fishing boats, cafes, bars & shops.
I was walking the South West Coast Path, and this B&B was ideally placed en-route.
My Host was Jo, was very helpful and friendly lady. I am from Coventry, I was surprised to learn that so too was Jo! - Its a small world.
Very comfortable accommodation, comfy bed and a superb full English to keep me going on my 20 mile walk to Braunton that day!

We needed to cancel our booking as my husband was taken to hospital and so I called Jo and she couldn’t have been more helpful. Once better we rearranged our booking and again no problems. We were given a warm welcome and shown to room 5, a huge room with an amazing view over ilfracombe. Following a great sleep we enjoyed a lovely breakfast, perfectly cooked and plentiful all served by an unobtrusive and efficient young lady. Thank you all for a comfortable stay and big thanks Jo for your kindness when we couldn’t make our first booking and allowing us to rearrange with ease. Highly recommend booking this B and B ( book direct , easy to Google the telephone number 😀)

We stayed at the Olive Branch three years ago when we also ate at the Olive Room which was on the ground floor at that time. This time we ate at Tom Carr's new restaurant 1873 just down the road for which the Olive Branch is still very convenient. As it happens we had the same room this time (5). It's on the top floor and very comfortable with lovely views - although it would be nice if the window could be cleaned so that it could be appreciated a little more! We had the same problem with the bathroom as last time - the shower is in a freestanding bath and comes with a warning to sit in the bath to use it in order to stop water going everywhere. As we are of a certain age, we don't dare climb into high baths these days and certainly not sit in them. We'd never get out again! But this is a quirky place which is one of the reasons we like it. Everything else worked very well and there was an excellent breakfast. We would certainly recommend the Olive Branch.
We were here 10th December 2021.

Stayed for 3 nights in the Superior room for my birthday. We were warmly welcomed and was given all the information about the room and parking that we needed. The owners were very friendly and attentive about keeping us happy during our stay. We were always able to ask if we needed anything topping up in our room (tea bags, towels etc.).

The building was really great As for the room, it was absolutely stunning! It was spotless and looked amazing. It was an extra bonus to have a beautiful view of the sea and to also have a jacuzzi bath, fridge and a massive comfy bed.

The location was very practical, perfect for a great stay in Ilfracombe. I would love to stay here again and will definitely come back. I will be recommending this place to everyone!

We both had a lovely stay, loved the room, the owners and the whole town. x

We spent 4 nights at the Olive Branch B&B, which turned out to be the perfect location for our winter break. The proprietors were friendly and helpful, with nothing too much trouble. The room was clean and warm, with high quality linen and towels. Breakfast (served 8-9am) offered a large selection, including fruit, cereal and a full English fry-up. Car parking is available in the municipal car park 100 metres down the hill. The winter rate is £2 for 24 hours. The B&B is conveniently situated for the High Street, harbour and other amenities, with plenty of cafes and restaurants to choose from. We'd definitely book the Olive Branch again in the future.

Our welcome was warm and friendly, not least as we were accommodated at very short notice. We were given lots of useful tips and advice for our stay in the town. The characterful building was all very clean and well looked after as was our comfortable room, with spectacular sea views There was a choice of high quality breakfast to satisfy anyone, from a 'full English' to fruit, cereal and everything in between.

My husband and I spent one night here. We had a twin room as that was all that was available at the time of booking. The beds were at opposite ends of the room. A bit surprising but given the space it was the most logical place to put them. The room was bijoux but as we were there just for one night not a problem for us. The beds were super comfy with good quality bedding. We liked all the little touches such as the tea and coffee making facilities in our room along with two bottles of water and biscuits. The shower room was adequate. The breakfast was of a high quality. We had to be up early in the morning but our hosts were very hospitable and opened up the kitchen early for us which we very much appreciated. The location was perfect. A stone's throw from lots of restaurants.
The only downside but nothing the owners can change is the clock tower which goes off every hour and kept us awake and the seagulls first thing in the morning!
We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Next time we would be more organised and book a larger room

We had an amazing time at The Olive Branch and can't wait to come again! Our room (the Large Superior) was huge, clan and bright with a big window overlooking Capstone Hill. The hosts were friendly and helpful, making sure our stay was top notch and giving us some ace restaurant recommendations. They struck a perfect balance of friendliness and privacy and are really lovely.

The Olive Branch is perfectly positioned for you to take advantage of everything Ilfracombe has to offer. We did a big walk from Ilfracombe to Combe Martin (steep but well worth it for the views), and coming back to the amazing, deep jacuzzi bath and ridiculously comfy bed was amazing.

We were really lucky with the weather during our stay, but on the last day when it rained we didn't mind too much because it was just so pleasant to sit in our nice warm room on the two comfy chairs by the window.

They also followed Covid guidelines perfectly, we felt safe, secure and looked after. This was a birthday trip for my partner and he had a wonderful time.

Thanks so much for having us, can't wait to come back again soon!

Hi Roy, parking is available at the bottom of Fore Street, 2 min away, the cost is £3.10p per 24hr, Fore Street being the oldest Street in Ilfracombe is narrow but you can pull up outside and drop your luggage off. Hope this helps, Paul.
