I booked this hotel at the last minute and informed the hotel that I would be booking in at around 11pm due to finishing work and the distance involved for me to travel. Due to an accident on the M5, we arrived at 1:30am and met the owner, Liam - although he had to stay up for us, there was...

When we arrived the first impression of the Hotel was how clean it was and how helpful the owners were. When we rang to book our accommodation and explained we needed a room with a power supply adjacent to the bed for my husbands dialysis machine, the owner checked the rooms before we booked to make sure we had what...

We were lucky to find a room the day before our weekend in Ilfracombe. Liam and Sylvia were very welcoming the room was comfortable and the bathroom good with a fabulous shower. Saturday morning we had the best English breakfast we've had in ahotel - freshly cooked with ust the right amounts of bacon, egg, sausage, beans, tomato, mushroom and potato. Liam was...

We stayed at this hotel over the August Bank Holiday weekend and found it to be a lovely base for what was a perfect couple of days. The hotel is centrally located, a short stroll to both the seafront and the town centre, and the owner, Liam was extremely friendly and helpful from the very beginning, guiding us to a...

We booked this hotel for three nights at the last minute after a horrendous experience at another ‘hotel’ in Ilfracombe which we couldn’t wait to get out of. The proprietors Liam and Sylvia went out of their way to accommodate us and even let us have a look at the room before we took it. After the last one we...

We found this at the last minute so we could continue with our walking holiday. What a life saver it turned out to be. Owners very friendly and helpful, lovely clean and spacious rooms with large bathrooms, and a great location just 5 minutes walk up the hill from the harbour. Only slight niggle was the TV which was small...

I stayed at the Crescent Hotel with my mother (who had been born, and grew up, in Ilfracombe). I chose the hotel having read TripAdvisor reviews – and I was certainly not disappointed. When we arrived, we found that – because the hotel wasn't full – we had each been upgraded to double rooms with sweeping views down to the...

Instantly impressed with the staff. Bags taken to room and VERY friendly. Breakfast was very nice, served efficiently and with a good variety. Nothing seemed too much trouble and the rooms are kept clean and tidy on a daily basis. Intended to stay two nights ended up having a third. Would stay again.

We have just spent a lovely weekend at this immaculate hotel. Liam was the perfect host from the minute we arrived. Our room was spotless and breakfast was freshly cooked. It is being refurbished to very high standards. We will definitely visit again.

I booked this hotel on bookings.com at the absolute last minute. I'd taken my car for a spin into Devon, and thought I might as well stay the night somewhere. A room at the Crescent was £30 including breakfast - so it was a no brainer! I arrived about an hour later, and the Liam who owns the place welcomed...

“Rooms facing the street can get a bit of noise as revellers make their way around the town; it didn't seem to carry on late into the night but perhaps worth considering if you are a light sleeper or an early bird.”
