Just come back from a long weekend away at Grattons Cedar Lodges. Was very happy with the accommodation and was given a very warm welcome on arrival. The views are breathtaking and the area is very relaxing to stay in. Total peace and quiet and a really therapeutic feeling being there. Our lodge had everything you could need and as...

Hiya, thanks so much for your kind words, really appreciated. Warm welcome, breathtaking views, therapeutic feeling - awesome feedback! We've made further improvements again this year with some of the internals of the lodges. So sorry you didn't find the sofa to be very comfortable, it is something we definitely want to make sure is improved where necessary. We've replaced...

We stayed at Grattons for the second time in November. Like last year, it was a birthday present for my wife. After last year's experience, we were eager to return for the relaxing and tranquil setting. We were not disappointed. We were met by the very helpful owner (who helped me organise a few surprises for my wife's birthday, thanks...

Hiya, thanks so much for the positive feedback, lovely to receive. It means a great deal top us that you had a fantastic time for your wife's birthday. We agree and so pleased that the Sawmills pub is really great now after a full refurbishment and new owners. See you in 2018 and best wishes for the new year. Dave...

I was a little apprehensive about staying in a lodge with three young children as I had not been away to this sort of place before, but it was brilliant. The kitchen was kitted out and there was enough room to be comfortably snuggled on the sofa or sat at the table eating a family meal. The area is beautiful....

Thanks so much, really pleased you loved our lodges. We try to provide those things that guests don't have room for in the car or can just borrow rather than buy. For others reading this, such items include - buckets and spades, dvd's, crab nets, games, books, bbq's, hair dryer, backpack, baby baths, washing machines and tumble dryers. We don't...

Was a bit disappointed if I'm honest. We stayed Fri to Mon. When we arrived at 4pm there was no welcome there was a note and our keys left on the office desk. As it was the first time we had stayed didn't know where our lodge was. We saw another man who had just arrived but he didn't know...

Hi, many thanks for your feedback. I think you have been mostly reasonable in your comments and I'd like to respond appropriately to also help other potential guests. I'd like to reassure you and others and be absolutely clear what we're all about here at Grattons Cedar Lodges. My wife and I run a small family business of self-catering holiday...

Arrived for a 4 night stay to a lovely welcome very helpful and friendly. First time I have stayed in a lodge and they are great full of character with everything you need . But the Wow factor is the setting and breathtaking views of hills and village below. I would say only one thing the bed was a little...

Hi, thank you very much for the feedback and so glad you had a great experience staying with us and liked our lodges. Really useful to gain specific feedback regarding the mattress, as only what we know about we can look to improve. We will check out the mattress in the lodge where you stayed and look to replace. We...

When we arrived we were greeted right away by the owner. He made us feel extremely welcome and was very helpful. The lodge (Exmore) that we stayed in was beautiful. Clean cosy and recently refurbished. It was just perfect for the relaxing weekend we were looking for. We had a beautiful scenic view from our bedroom window. Grattons is in...

My husband and I came here with our 15 month old from a Monday to Friday and really enjoyed the stay from start to finish. The lodge we stayed in was really lovely, well maintained and cozy. But it was small for the 3 of us: it was a squeeze to fit the travel cot in the bedroom and there...

Hiya, huge thanks for taking the time to feedback on your stay with us at Grattons, so glad you had a fab time! Agree with all of your comments. We recommend a two bedroom lodge for any party greater that 2 adults as they are more spacious. Our lodges are indeed 'cosy' and I certainly wouldn't claim otherwise to any...

Visited here 19-22 Aug and stayed in the Saunton lodge . It was really well equipped inside plenty big enough for myself , husband and three year old son. The lodges are in the perfect location with lovely views of rolling hills and the odd cow . Ideally situated between ilfracombe and Combe Martin. I would definitely return and would...

What a lovely holiday we had, with our base being at Grattons Cedar Lodges for a week. It was certainly helped by the sunshine we had throughout most of the week. Hi, many thanks for your great feedback. You are quite right to ignore satnav's, much better to stick to main roads unless used to driving along single track narrow roads. We will be replacing the sofa at the end of the season, it's one of the last ones of that type we need to replace. We hope to welcome you...
