Quite disappointed and the value for money is appalling considering you can stay at the Spread Eagle for £10 more and get luxury. We were given the worst room in the house and no reflection was made in the room rate to take account for this. The room smelt damp and the electrical light fitting was hanging by a thread....

After reading the reviews online I was initially a bit wary, but as the only accomodation available in the area we went ahead and booked. My friend and I stopped overnight while completing a 120 mile charity bike ride and our hosts made every possible effort to make our stay as comfortable as they could. Rooms were bright and well...

I requested a double bed, i got 2 single beds. The room was small and in need of a good clean. You could see the whole room had been decorated on the cheap. would not recommend anyone to stay here for any reason.

This b and b was dirty, cold and unwelcoming. We booked en suite but on arrival were told that was gone. The owner increased the cost considerably without notice knowing no other accomodation available as it was the Goodwood revival weekend. i really cant emphasise enough how disgusting this place was.

This B & B was dirty and cold. The Owner obviously thinks she does a wonderful job, but actually makes you feel uneasy, as having produced a horrible breakfast, she then proceeded to sit and talk at us, about how every one loved her and her home! The only good part of the stay was escaping (within minutes of arriving)...

As walkers we stayed one night on our South Downs walk. We have walked several long distance trails over the years and the Carrabee in the worst one EVER. It was the most expensive also. At £90 a night for a double room Jackie got £180 from us. Our rooms were cold (no sign of any heating) musty, stained carpets...

Stayed here the night before my wedding. All seemed to be going well.... until we arrived. I had confirmed that as the bride I would be leaving from the lodge to go to the ceremony and that my friends would be staying with me. Rates were agreed and paid. But on arrival I was told that I must pay extra...

Run by an Icelandic gentleman and his wife Jackie the Carrabee Lodge is extremely welcoming. Spacious rooms at rate of around £60 - negotiation is possible. Well equipped with Digital TV and...
