Wow! Amazing find. Paid for a weeks parking and stayed for 1 night on our return. Staff were extremely friendly and tried their best to help us with the current petrol shortage situation. Courtesy lifts to and from the airport were seamless and staff excellent. Bed was very comfy. Breakfasts were lovely. Nothing seemed too much trouble. Only criticism was I felt rooms could do with a make over, but were fine for one night, they were clean and thats what matters most. Would stay here again if we fly from Gatwick again. Thank you.

I used this place for a one night short notice business trip, couldn’t find another hotel but at £56.19 this appeared to be good value & with good reviews. After a 6 hour drive and too late in the evening to look for an alternative- otherwise I would have done! First car park, there is an extra charge of £7 to park your car, the (very polite & apologetic) receptionist said this should have been on the booking ts&cs - it isn’t and who checks those? Having paid £7 reluctantly trying to park is the next problem, this place is a converted house, what was probably the garden has been badly converted into parking - but they also do long term parking I discover) for airport traffic, so it is full. The room was poor, on opening the door, situated behind the noise and smells of the hotel kitchen, the smell of cheap air freshener was overwhelming and always a warning as to what that is trying to cover up. Fortunately the carpet is a dark colour and the lighting dim so you can’t see how grubby it is. The room was the size of a police cell (yes I do know the size of a police cell but from the perspective of the person with the keys!), the furniture & decor are cheap, tired and in need of a good clean. The bed single (couldn’t fit a double in ) but adequate. The bathroom may be the smallest I’ve ever seen - essentially a tiny shower, toilet and one of those corner sinks that you can’t fit your hands in (don’t even try to fill the kettle) all encased in a cheap stud wall to call it a bathroom. It worked and was adequately clean but if you are claustrophobic you’re going to struggle. The busy road on which this hotel is situated has traffic all night long so don’t expect a good night if you’re a light sleeper. If you want breakfast that’s extra again. If I wasn’t very tired on arrival, I’d have tried to find somewhere else, for one night I put up with it, I certainly wouldn’t use it again - I dislike being ripped off and the hidden charges are a cheap way of racking up the cost, and in my opinion is a disingenuous way of doing business. The hotel is cheaply converted, needs a refresh and a good clean. In fairness the staff are very friendly and helpful as they can be, I would commend them. For one short night this place is adequate, I would have felt less ripped off if all charges were clearly stated up front. In terms of value, it’s at the lower end of the market for price, rightly as the accommodation is also poor quality, cramped, airless, stuffy, noisy and a bit grubby. I wouldn’t recommend.

Searched the internet for a stopover on my way to the South coast. The single room price was extremely attractive. I decided to stay both on my way down and back. My single room was very clean, had tea/coffee making facilities, a flat screen TV, a built in wardrobe and an en suite bathroom. Everything looked new and obviously in great condition. Breakfast was extra, was cooked to order, no rubber eggs or dried up beans and was really nicely presented. Sadly, we were still just short of Covid restrictions being lifted so I didn’t get to experience the bar etc. However, the staff were really friendly and helpful. Nothing seemed too much trouble. There was a really easy system to accommodate my late arrival on my way back home. Small but beautifully formed ! I have no hesitation recommending The Corner House.

Seriusly book somewhere else..... Upon arrival check in was closed with a plastic wallet and a post it note with my name so no greeting...Covid was blamed..... We walked into our room and it was the smallest room I've ever seen...No hair dryer, noe iron so we asked for them to be told thay are in the draws in your room, I went back to the room to have another look and there weren't even any draws so went back to reception, which had now opened, for the girl to come and show me where it was...After she realised we did not have them she finally got us what we'd asked for. She could have just taken my word for the fact there was no hair dryer but no..... Then the Iron she brought us didn't work so another trip to reception...... I mean really????? Then I turned the shower on and there was a trickle....By this time I just could not be bothered as was due somewhere within the next 1/2, which had already been shortened by our multipole trips to reception. The next day on check out, they charged up for parking £7....What is that about? Seriuosly avoid at at all costs, this has to be the most faulty towers like hotel I have ever stayed in........

Last minute need to stay overnight with a dog. Even though these are difficult times, owner and staff were very accommodating. Nice comfortable room, well worth the price. Nice little bar were I could sit with the dog. Nice evening meal and great breakfast. Would definitely stay again.
