This was the best experience i've ever had staying close to the airport. The owner was incredibly kind and went above and beyond to help me when my flight got cancelled. My room was also beautifully decorated and very comfortable. There's also a cute town within walking distance.
We stayed at the Lawn Guest House whilst attending a wedding in the area. We asked to check in at 12 prior to the wedding and received a lovely welcome from the hotel owner. The 2 rooms were very comfortable and we had everything we needed. There is a small car park with a £3.50 daily charge although spaces are on a first come first served basis. We parked in the side road as the car park was pretty full and one of our vehicles was very large. The parking was available there at weekends but is permit holders only in the week. Breakfast was £5 extra. It was a good cold buffet breakfast - cereals, cake, yogurt, fruit, plus cooked to order toast and egg. As a coeliac I just had a yogurt and 2 poached eggs. We would definitely stay here again
Booked directly, found property easily. Beautiful accommodation, exceptionally clean. Excellent facility, very close to great standard of restaurants. Quasim was an outstanding host, welcoming and flexible. Provided swift and easy transport to Gatwick and looked after our car whilst we were away. We cannot recommend The Lawn highly enough and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.
Friendly welcome, spotlessly clean, The Lawn is in a great location. Two minutes walk to a good choice of restaurants. Decor is modern & fresh. Continental breakfast only but offered eggs. If I could change one thing, the breakfast would be served until 10am at weekends.
Recently stayed at the Lawn Guest House in Horley with my partner for 2 nights before flying off to New Zealand. We were greeted by Quasim (the owner) who is a lovely man, and very friendly and welcoming. We were quickly checked in and up in our room, which was a superior room and very comfortable and plenty of space for us to put our belonging and relax for a couple of days. Lawn Guest House is very clean and has lovely furniture and furnishings allowing it to feel luxurious and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable and the shower worked well and was hot enough. We had breakfast on both days and it was plentiful and tasty. We were offered a choice of hot food such as scrambled eggs, fried or poached with toast, and there was a good selection of cereals, fruit and jams etc. We had a choice of fruit juices and tea and coffee. Quasim worked very hard and he was available to make sure we had everything we needed. Overall we would recommend this guest house to anyone wishing to stay for a night or two. There is a good car park, although we did not have a car with us. There was also a little outdoor covered area where we met with some friends and had a bottle of champagne to say good bye to our friends. Another really positive aspect was that Quasim had an ice machine below the stairs in a cupboard with little buckets so we could chill our drinks. Nice little touch. Whilst we were visiting Quasim had builders outside the property replacing the sleepers around his flower bed, which looked really impressive. This owner obviously has a passion to provide an excellent service and presentation to his guests, and he is very enthusiastic and positive. He also provide transfers to Gatwick and Heathrow airport in his lovely volkswagen MPV. Travelling to the airpot in style was good too. I would recommend this guest house to anyone, and joy to stay at, and a lovely owner and host. Many Thanks Quasim for our stay.…
