Pros - 5 mins walk from the railway station - 10-15 mins walk from Stirling Castle. You can meander around this area and see some beautiful, old architecture - lots of pubs and restaurants nearby - Rooms spotlessly clean - Bathroom was small but modern and stylish Cons - the breakfast selection was very limited and of poor quality. I...

I was booked to stay here for a couple of nights on business. The reception area looks very stylish and modern, but it was all a bit soulless and corporate. Typical of a large hotel, but I expected more from such a historic hotel. The other public areas and bedrooms were decent enough, but nothing special and I noticed a...

We ate here recently upon recommendation of our guest house host. Food was good, and service adequate. One had burger, which he said was obviously good quality but a little dry. Friend & I had small steaks which were ok, but well done, and we ordered medium rare. We did not want to send back. It was enjoyable dinner, and...

I stayed here for a couple of nights, as part of a large tour group, over a weekend. The rooms and beds are fine enough - nothing special - and food quite good. Breakfast was very good, with a selection of fruits and continental meats, cheese etc on offer alongside the fried buffet. However, as with many buildings and businesses...

THank you for your comments , the Guide should have advised you to present a credit card for approval to make charges to your room which appears to not have been the case to you from what it appears, hence the situation you experienced. Regards

I was here for a wedding. All the public areas (eg, the bar, the reception room, the reception area, etc) are lovely and very plush. The whole wedding seemed to go off without a hitch, so definite bonus there. However, the room we stayed in was very tired. The grout in the bathroom needs refreshed and overall the rooms looked...

Thank you for commenting on your recent stay, I was disappointed to hear that breakfast was not to our normal standards, I have discussed this with the team accordingly to ensure the foods are checked throughout service for consistency. We are refurbishing the Hotel in January 2016 to ensure we meet the requirements one would expect in today's market and...

I wanted to come here just to say I'd been, for the historic value, and actually really enjoyed the food. We ate in the little "pub" area, rather than the fancier restaurant area, the food was really good (steak pie & chips). Looks like it would be a really nice place to stay, very attractively decorated.

Thank you for taking the time to comment on your recent stay, unfortunately it is annoying that the pigeons within the city are a pest to say the least especially with the very light mornings at this time of year and something we have looked at , however to no avail . No chance of checking in until 14:30 although you can leave your bags at reception. Central hotel 5 minutes from train station by foot. Room was a bit dated but had everything you needed and more. Tea, coffee, iron, ironing board and enough storage. Saturday night was horrendous as there was a wedding on and we had read the reviews but...

Spent 3 nights on B&B during the Easter holidays. Room was large with comfortable beds and cleaned daily throughout our stay. All staff were friendly and hard working, especially throughout breakfast service. Hotel in a great location in the centre of Stirling, with the added bonus of free on-site parking. An old hotel with lots of 'character' and lovely communal...

Pros: Very conveniently located to walk to Stirling Castle. Some good restaurants are nearby. The room was absolutely huge, with high ceiling, a sofa, coffee table, and two lounge chairs, as well as large desk. The shower was nice and large, with a nice hand-held shower head. Heated towel rack worked well. If you want the full Scottish breakfast, order...
