I sated with my wife for 2 nights here, as from previous experience |Iam very confident of the quality of rooms and food, espoecially as a I am a Coeliac and need to be confidene of gluten free. Convenient location, good parking, garden adds to the enjoyment.

Stayed here 2 nights, we had 3 rooms and 6 people. The staff, the accommodation, the service, the food and drinks were first class. Lovely rooms lovely hotel. Will defiantly be revisiting. Would recommend to anyone, families, couples or a break for yourself. Lovely

Fantastic stay lovely room excellent food and service will definitely be back it's a beautiful hotel not so many left really, and the restaurant is also very classy. It is very important to us to have a spacious room with a bath a nice big bed and this hotel offers all of these things.

We stayed in a superior room and it was very freshly decorated and the bed was extremely comfortable. Great Wifi. The location was very central with lots of free and secure parking. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Stayed in Pickering as we wanted to visit Matthewsons/Bangers and Cash fame. Great free car park with plenty of space. We arrived early and had an hour in the lovely bar/lounge area for a coffee on the Sunday afternoon. Still checked us in early and found all the staff really friendly and helpful. Had a lovely room on the ground floor overlooking the garden and a good size bedroom. Spotlessly clean and comfortable room. Had a lovely evening meal (Sunday Dinner) at night and reasonable price. Would have had dinner there the second night but the kitchen was closed. (Limited places to eat but have local Chinese and Indian resteraunts as well as pubs. We ate at the Black Swan which was very nice but pricey). Lovely bar but closes early if quiet. Would definately stay here again. (Try the local buses where at present all fares are £2-Thornton Dale about 5 minutes and Whitby about an hour. Bus stop right by the hotel. North Moors railway about 10 minutes walk.).…

We have just returned from a fabulous few days away. From the moment we walked in the service was excellent. We were greeted by Suzanne on reception who was very friendly and welcoming and throughout our stay . Then young Tom carried our bags to our room .The room was beautifully decorated and spotless. We chose to eat in the Hotel bar on our first evening and found the food so marvellous we ate there for the rest of our stay. Service in the bar was excellent with all staff being very attentive especially Alun and young Tom who are an asset to the Hotel. We will certainly be visiting again in the near future!!! If we could rate this Hotel higher then 5 we would !!

I stayed for a couple of nights and cannot really fault it. Service was exemplary and staff were knowledgable and helpful. Everything is top quality and as long as you are prepared to pay a Hotel premium, you will be perfectly located to visit the town and park the car without any difficulty.

Lovely hotel and gardens. Excellent service provided from every member of staff we spoke to, comfortable well appointed rooms and lovely breakfasts. Fabulous staff, very friendly and welcoming. We have stayed here many times before and wouldn’t hesitate in recommending the Forest & Vale as a super hotel for a short stay and base to explore the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors
