We stayed in Rosedale in August and despite the mixed weather, enjoyed our break. During the 5 days we visited all 3 pubs/restaurant/hotels in Rosedale Abbey and definitely thought the White Horse was the best. Well worth a short walk uphill for the fantastic views.

Called in whilst staying in the area. The inn is more of a food place and hotel, rather than somewhere for a drink. Staff are very friendly, place was clean and had a old world feel to it. Views, as mentioned on previous reviews, are incredible. Cannot comment on the food and as the place was quite, we didn't see... More

We found this place last year and decided to visit for lunch today 31st July for my partners birthday. We ordered at the bar after been given a printed menu on a sheet of A4 paper (limited choice) but I thought oh well burger it is. We chose to sit outside as the views are great and it was warm... We enjoyed spending three nights here in July in beautiful weather. Our room was well appointed and the housekeeping excellent with very high quality towels replaced every day. Breakfasts were good, although no kippers or yoghourt, served by friendly staff in the pleasant dining room. Dinners were excellent and can be enjoyed in the bar or restaurant. You can't rely... We received a really friendly welcome and were immediately shown our room Etc. and made to feel at home. The room was spotlessly clean with a newly refurbished bathroom and all the usual tea/coffee making facilities and bathroom accessories. The hotel is in a stunning setting with views over the Dale and this can be enjoyed from all the public... More

We found this place on trip advisor and were looking for a dog friendly bar/restaurant that did a Sunday lunch. Honestly can't have picked a better place. Apparently recently under new management all the staff were friendly and so helpful. The food was fantastic. The apple pie dessert with custard was lovely!! And the views from the place are stunning.... More

Visited Rosedale for a walking reunion, stayed at the White horse farm inn situated above the valley with wonderful views from the front bedrooms. The new owners were still finding their feet but we're friendly and helpful. We had a group meal there(16) seated all together, the food was excellent with a good choice, good beer and friendly staff made... More

The three of us really enjoyed our stay from Monday 13 June to Wednesday 15th. The Inn has such charm and I understand that the church like wood carved frames etc. around the downstairs area came from a church in Wakefield. Every where was clean and tidy, the staff were very helpful and kind and breakfast and the evening meal... More
