We had a pleasant two-night stay at the Beansheaf. We found all of the staff we encountered to be friendly, helpful and polite during our stay, from the duty manager/s through to the cleaner and reception staff. A couple of maintenance issues arose during our stay (a stuck window blind and a hand basin tap). These were both rectified quickly... More

For the £69 per night we paid, this Hotel served us well. The exterior makes you fear for what you have let yourself in for, but inside, the owner has done a decent renovation job. Clean rooms, good quality bed linen and a perfect breakfast. 5 minute drive to Pickering. Located on a very busy road but the rooms are... More

Situated on the main road between Malton and Pickering. Road noise not an issue as the bedrooms are behind the reception. All in all a very comfortable, clean hotel with a good menu and friendly hosts. Would definately recommend, and will stay again when in North Yorkshire.

Needed a good nights sleep after a couple of days on the road in Northern England when I ran past The Beansheaf just south of Pickering in the North Yorkshre Moors. They had a board out offering rooms for a decent price and it looked ok. Met at reception by a very nice young man who immediately made me feel... More

My partner and I stayed for one night and was greeted at reception by a friendly gentleman who showed us to our rooms and how to operate the heating. The double room was clean, bedsheets/ linen was clean, en- suite was spotless and a very comfy bed. We ordered an evening meal and the menu had a good selection of... More

My first stay at the Beansheaf and although i was worried at first as the whether the rooms would be noisy as its such a busy main room, all the rooms are on the side or the back so very quiet. Very friendly staff and great food and nice that dogs are welcomed in the bar area. Wonderful breakfast too.... More
