The rooms are large, modern, clean, and comfortable. The location was great for our golf at Trump and Cruden Bay. It's a remote setting, but that was fine for our needs. We had a nice greeting and all our needs were attended to. The breakfast was delicious and served in a nice dining room.

Best customer service I seen in a long time and I teach it so I have high standards. I was greeted before I reached the front door wow! Visitor lounge with sky tv and breakfast room, beautiful decor (just my style) throughout. This is a social B&B or you can just veg in your room, or watch Digital tv and,...

Aikenshill House is for you if: 1) you like to feel like family popping in for a visit and receiving a "we're so glad you came" welcome. 2) you like conversations--with owners/operators, Jim and Shona--and with other guests at breakfast around a shared table or during the evening in the sitting room. 3) you would like the items on your...

Booked an overnight stay after arriving at Aberdeen Airport. The accommodations were excellent as well as the food and hospitality. Thanks Shona for recommending Ballindalloch Castle. We would have missed a great place to visit.

Excellent 5 star bed and breakfast accommodation. Wonderful host and comfortable beyond all expectations. Home from home experience and makes a business trip away so much more pleasurable. Breakfast is fab and James goes over and beyond the call of duty.

I booked an overnight stay for a party of Austrians on their first visit to Scotland and could not have made a better choice. They were still talking days later about James and his warm hospitality and immaculately furnished house. The breakfast offered us the best of local produce in abundance served by James himself.

I flew to Aberdeen with a party of Austrians in late March. They are used to good food, high standards of cleanliness and value for money, making me slightly worried because I didn't want to disappoint them. Aikenshill House was not only close to the airport but also proved to be the perfect choice. Although the gale-force winds and freezing...

I have stayed at Aikenshill twice and the quality and service is second to none. James and Shona are wonderful hosts and make a big effort to make you feel as though you are at home away from home. The rooms are spotlessly clean and the breakfasts are prepared to your choice, if you request something special the day before...

I was due to stay there for 1 night but ended up staying there for 3 due to weather stopping me from going to work! The rooms were excellent and very comfortable. The guest lounge with Sky+ tv, wood burning stove and great selection magazines is very nice. Any one that stays there will agree that James' cooking is amazing...
