We were having a hard time finding a place and stumbled onto this one. It was hard to know where to park and there are a lot of steps. The room was clean and spacious. Our host was nice and helpful. It was located close to restaurants. And the breakfast was very good. Also, we forgot our electric converter and...

We found this B&B in the main street to be very handy for shopping and for dining venues. However, there were many steps as it is located on a steep slope. This was one of the most expensive B&Bs we encountered in Scotland (however everything appeared expensive on Deeside) but it was very good. We had a good room and...

Enjoyed our stay immensely. Large comfortable room, huge bathroom, superb breakfast. We were in Banchory for a wedding. Staying at the guest house made it a fabulous weekend all round. The owner could not have been more friendly or helpful. Would recommend this guest house to anyone.

I stayed here with my husband a while ago and just came across it on trip advisor, so I thought I would share my experience !! The property is gorgeous, and very central - right in the centre of the Banchory with a bus stop right outside for venturing further afield !! The rooms were absolutely spotless, very comfortable and...

Really enjoyed staying here - the landlady was very friendly but not at all intrusive, made me feel really welcome. Clean, comfortable room with a kettle, tea/coffee and biscuits, and a really excellent breakfast. I came home several pounds heavier than when I left. Convenient for the centre of town (which is very small) and close to several restaurants. Be...

We stayed at the Village Guest House in Banchory for 1 night at the end of November. Our experiences were so different from the other two reviews that they must have stayed at a different place in a parallel universe. Mrs Holmes made us most welcome when we arrived around lunch time. The room was large, warm, clean and welcoming....

Awful experience staying here, the landlady was rude the room was dirty, the bathroom was filthy and the breakfast poor. All in all I would avoid at all costs. The shame is its a fantastic location, minutes walk to Banchory town centre. I have not stayed in a worse B&B ever

We booked rooms here, from the start the woman was very unpleasant, she was cheeky on the phone and when our guys arrived they were put in to dirty beds that other guests had just came out of! I would never advise to stay here. I certainly wont be using this guest house for any future accommodation. Terrible service!
