Went for a small work do on a Friday evening. Staff very accommodating and nothing too much trouble. Decor and ambiance inside just as good as outside area. Food really tasty! Sweet pickles a great extra for my burger. Will definitely return.

Our first stay at Smith's as a group of women who've been visiting Weston for the past 10 years annually. Lovely rooms - clean comfortable beds with tea coffee facilities in the room. Staff were very accommodating, providing clean towels and tea coffee etc at request. Due to covid, rooms were not cleaned daily. We ate in the restaurant both on the Friday and for Sunday lunch. Good menu selection and the food was delicious. We have already provisionally booked to return next year.

Came here with friends for Sunday meal. Two had Sunday Roast and were happy, two had Fish and chips. When fish was cooked perfectly, crispy and flaky insides Chips were massive let down. Soaked in oil, not pleasant at all. Hope you can feed this bag to the kitchen and improve for next customers.

Stayed for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Room was spotlessly clean and had all amenities for our stay..room not cleaned for duration of stay but probably due to COVID restrictions. Extra teas/coffees could be collected from the bar. Staff very helpful and amiable whatever time of day, and food and drink also very nice. If I had to be pedantic then the design of the room was a bit odd, with the basin in the bedroom and not in the bathroom, but that's me being a touch pedantic.. Would definitely stay again..would highly recommend...

Our room was on the ground floor at the back of the hotel. Behind our room there was small yard and metal stairs going up to the next floor from the outside. On the first night, at four in the morning, me and my partner were woken up by bottles being moved from one bin to another. This lasted about 40 minutes on and off and was very loud. The following morning I went down to reception to complain about the noise. The woman behind the counter (told me her name was Tina the next day, despite refusing to give it to me the day I complained) had a vile attitude and was without a doubt the most unprofessional manager I’ve ever come across in my entire life. She told me that i was lying about the noise as her night staff wouldn’t do that and told me it was one of the houses behind the hotel. I told her that if those bottles were from someone’s house then I’d be concerned and they must be awful alcoholics as the emptying of bottles went on for 40 minutes and there’s must have been hundreds or thousands She responded saying “well actually there’s a rehab centre behind as well so could be them” and she thought this was a really smart response (I don’t think she understood that rehab centres are for people that are giving up drinking, so there would be no bottles lol). When I pointed out that it made no sense at all she realised how stupid she sounded. I asked her if she was the general manager (I knew it was her as many others on this website have commented on her vile attitude and lack of professionalism) and she confirmed that she was so I pointed out that it’s been highlighted online by others tho at She’s unprofessional and lacks any manners. She stomped off to the office behind (and decided to shout another comment on her way in) I asked her for her name and she ignored me entirely (but I got it off her the following day when I checked out). I don’t usually write reviews, but because of they general managers vile attitude, I felt compelled to share this. On a lighter note, the rest of the staff were very polite, particularly the man who checked us in to the hotel. The general manager could really learn a thing or two from him.
