This hotel is very old and quaint and needs a lot of TLC in some areas. The twin room we had at first was unacceptale due to the cobwebs in the bathroom and spiders on my bed. One of the matress's had actually collapsed in the middle as well which required a new one . We could not change rooms immediatly as a Marathon was due the next day and all the rooms were full. After a room change after 2 days the new room was clean and very comfortbale. If we had this room in the first place the holiday would have been more enjoyable. The food at the hotel was very nice and a good choice for everyone. The staff were brilliant and very attentive to everyones needs. They are a credit to the hotel.
we have just stayed at The Grand Atlantic in WestonSupermare. Although this is an older Hotel. The staff are brilliant, they are always at hand if you need anything. This is also a pet friendly hotel. There is a lift in the hotel.Car parking is onsite and very reasonable. If not there is a multi storey around the corner.we had a sea view room. very clean and comfortable.we couldnt get into the restaurant saturday night as it was very busy. But the lady on reception suggested we had food in the bar. very nice food.then we were lucky enough to be able to see the entertainment for the evening Simon a very good singer.we are going back in March to this Hotel.
There is no doubt that, at the moment this Hotel is a long way from it's former glory. A lot of it is a bit tired. Our room however had been recently decorated to a reasonable if not stellar standard and the position is lovely. The staff were helpful and friendly and we would stay again. We stayed room only and did not avail ourselves of the breakfast
The staff are very friendly and helpful. Hotel is very clean, and our room was nicely decorated. Some corridor wall are a little scruffy and the lift very slow. The food was great and hot, which in some hotels it isn’t. The only let down at evening meals were the vegetable portion size, we found them too small. We noticed at single person tables they got the same amount as a table for two! Also the exotic fruit salad sounded good but I think they were mango, were so hard they were uneatable and the fruit sizes too large to comfortably fit in your mouth, a normal diced fresh fruit salad would have been better. It was nice to find china mugs in the rooms instead for paper cups. Great stay we would go back again.
Can't recommend enough... This was my first stay at The Grand Atlantic, although my accompanying guest has been a few times previously and always had excellent experiences. This time round exceeded both our, hopes and expectations! All the staff were second to none and bent over backwards to make us feel welcome, at home and no need was too much trouble. It felt like 5 star treatment and the room was quiet, delightful and clean too. We thoroughly enjoyed all the cuisine which was without doubt made with great passion and attention to detail and equally presented by conscientious, courteous, well trained friendly waiters and waitresses! A special mention and thanks to Claire on Reception and Chef Ben for going above and beyond to make our stay a wonderful, memorable experience, with Thanks Alison G and Peter M.…
