We loved our stay in this beautiful little cottage. The gardens are tranquil, the rooms quaint and pretty. Mary is a wonderful host, so warm, friendly and accommodating. We will be back in the summer for some R&R xxx

Firs Cottage is a lovely, historical home. There is no elevator to get you up the stairs and the rooms are not en-suite; yet, Mary really makes this B&B a wonderful place to stay. Though the rooms are not en-suite, each room has its own sink and the bathrooms are so close that they might as well be en-suite. We...

Thank you both for your generous comments. It's so good that you can see past the lack of en-suite facilities! In a cottage as old as this one with walls that are 3 foot thick in places ,it is difficult to make alterations. At least the bathrooms are a decent size! I think my bedroom wash basins are special too!...

We loved this adorable cottage. It's just like the in the photos and better! Mary's gardens are amazing and the views are wonderful. Mary was very welcoming and knowledgable. We had a great time just chatting with her! She is also a great cook and we had lovely breakfast each day with homemade jams and bread. I highly recommend staying...

From the moment you arrive here you become a member of a family living in a cottage in Wales. Mary will assess your needs together with those of the rest of the visitor 'family' so that you integrate comfortably. She has experience in other areas of tourism and good local knowledge.. Mary's selection of home made preserves at the breakfast...

6 of us stayed at Firs Cottage for 2 nights to attend a wedding and we couldn't have been happier. Mary was very welcoming and lovely and the b&b was great! Had the most beautiful, relaxing surroundings. I would definitely recommend this b&b and would definitely book it again when I go to North Wales again. From, Carly, Paul, Dave,...

Thank you Carly and friends, so glad you enjoyed your time here. You booked all my rooms in May 2013 which shows meticulous planning and I am so pleased everything worked out well for you. The six of you were a good advert for South Wales!!

Two of us stayed for 2 nights in Firs Cottage. It is a traditional B&B offering a lovely breakfast with a great choice, Mary, the owner is a most pleasant lady whose knowledge of the area is very helpful. She also has books to help you choose from the many walks available. Two great nights sleep. Thank you, Mary!

Five of us have just returned from a two night stay at the delightful firs cottage as we were attending a wedding nearby. All three bedrooms were very comfortable and breakfasts excellent! The four of us enjoyed a delightful stay close to the Maenan Abbey and Plas Maenan wedding venues and Bodnant Gardens. If you arrive by taxi after dark, ensure the taxi takes you up to the drive to the lovely 17th century farmhouse rather than leaving you at the foot of the steep twisty drive as ours did, as otherwise you...

A short visit but lovely to have you. I'm so sorry your chosen taxi driver was so inconsiderate. They usually bring visitors to the door especially after they have spent a convivial evening at a wedding party. I do agree that the drive is dark but that means no light pollution here! Ideal for studying the stars! I do hope...

My wife and I stayed at Firs Cottage last week on a short touring break from our family holiday home 2 hours to the south.
