great menu backed up with good quality, wholesome food, fed like a king! The décor is original, could be described as 'quirky' at times but we loved it. Have been once before, a few years ago and to be honest, we can't believe we have not been here more often...we only live half a mile away, we will be making...

Superb location, lovely hotel, great (family) room with a wonderful view and good value for money. Very friendly and welcoming team who served up an excellent breakfast. There is also a continental option of which was extensive but we preferred the cooked. Definitely will stay again on our next visit to North Wales and will stay longer to try out...

This was a lovely short notice find in Snowdonia. A character period guest house with attentive staff. Had dinner at the guest house the first night and it was stellar. The meals themselves were terrific, the service from the mgmt as well as wait staff very good, and the ambience in the bar area the best place to eat with...

We stayed here for one night on a last minute booking as we couldn't find anywhere else in the area. As a result, we probably didn't have much by way of room choice so ours suffered from being close to the front of the property and badly affected by traffic noise from the A470 road. The room was a good...

Nicely situated outside the picturesque Betws y Coed. Shame there is not much parking. Think this hotel holds about 6 cars! For restaurant and hotel. We had to park outside someone's house and walk down. Our bathroom was un-finished. They need a lick of paint and TLC, It was raining outside we wanted to borrow a n umbrella by the...

Dear Mr. uksayhello, Thank you for choosing to stay at The Meadowsweet Hotel. I would wholeheartedly agree with you on one point from your rant. Yes, it was raining, the rest of your story is rather suspect. Please come again when we have better weather and spirits. Regards, Nelson Haerr

My second time staying at this fantastic hotel. Nothing was too much trouble for Nelson and Mary - they really do provide a first class service. With great weather to accompany my stay in north Wales, the meadowsweet will keep me returning to this beautiful part of the world. Thank you!

We stayed at the Meadowsweet for 2 nights and we will definitely be returning. The hotel is comfortable, welcoming and incredible value. The food is excellent, the rooms are modern and clean but the thing that really makes it is the team running the place. They are the friendliest bunch you will find and nothing is too much trouble. The...

We'd booked a family party here so we'd also booked three rooms. Parents and aunt were on the first floor and they had lovely light and big rooms. Our room was on the second floor. Be mindful that there are no lifts. We had a family room which had two singles and a double. Ideal for one night. Nothing wrong...

Taking advantage of the offer of 3 nights for the price of 2 in July I secured rooms 7 and 10 on the 2nd floor. Rm 10 appeared newly rennovated and was airy and enjoyable. However Rm 7 was tired with tiny shower/ w.c. with cracked sink in master bedroom. Towels rough and small. Travel iron small and awkward to...

Surprised to find this gem in the North of Wales. Looked OK from the outside but inside was a different world. The rooms very boutique style and the food in the restaurant is to die for. Could of sat in the bay window looking at the view all night.
