Despite the name, this isn’t a resort. Instead, it’s just a standard 3 star beach hotel with ok, but tastefully furnished rooms. The three natural salt pools are a unique experience and the biggest plus. There is also a regular fresh water pool and a kids wading pool. NOTE: there are no pool or beach towel service! Included breakfast and restaurant are fine. There’s access to two small sand beaches. Consider buying a day pass for $12/person rather than staying if you just want to use the salt pools. Don’t overpay for a room thinking you’re going to get resort level service and amenities.

The place is not bad so to say, but also not good. The location is beautiful and the price is reasonable. Restaurant is decent. Rooms are a little outdated and bathroom feels moldy. Shower water smells a little like sewage water. The place has 17 rooms, BUT can be packed with day guests (over 100 on busy day), so this is definitely not the place to go if you want to escape the noice and hassle of the city - Then I would recommend to find one of the many smaller hotels. Many other and better options available for the same price. The staff is friendly but not flexible. We arrived 10 minutes before 3 PM, and they told us that we have to stand and wait in the lobby because they only give out keys to the room at 3. Non smoking resort, so if you are a smoker you have to walk out to the parking lot for a cigarette.

In El Palmacito beach, it’s a huge area including the resort, that’s very big itself too. It has 2 sweet water pools + little ones for kids, restaurants, a beautiful view on the ocean and natural water pools. Rooms are ok, maybe better the bungalows, price is in line with good destinations of the area. Surf boards available in the close by beach; unfortunately with endemic trash as every where else. For such a place a little more detail oriented care could help.
