Business trip which required a centrally located hotel, the staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble for them. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in the area as it is a cost effective hotel to use.

Can only agree with a previous review. By far the worst Christmas meal I have ever had. Toast for pate was limp and cold, roast potatoes disgusting, turkey dry, pigs in blankets barely cooked, no Brussel sprouts, stuffing was a slab of stodge and Christmas pudding more stodge.

Lovely hotel frontage if you are getting married. Great views from the lawns. if you arrive during darkness on a wintry night it is difficult to find and once parked it is a long walk to reception. I do not want to be told to whatsapp the reception to be booked in. I had to ask for my complementary drink voucher as an Accor member. The restaurant staff were friendly and proficient and at breakfast. Check out was the usual debacle. Lovely room and bathroom OK but still using shower curtains.

We visited for a family weekend and celebratory lunch. Having had a blip with a previous booking we were nervous, but got our revenge(!) with the number of menu requests and dietary requirements that we had ( and were successfully accommodated). There were two weddings on during the weekend but staff couldn’t have been nicer and more welcoming to our group although clearly busy with larger parties. Thanks to everyone involved, would definitely recommend this hotel to stay or visit for a function.

Afternoon Tea ... I had looked forward to having a nice variety of fresh sandwiches and cakes etc .. instead the Sandwiches were not freshly cut .. in fact the bread tasted really stale. Scones were also very dry and we we were told they had run out of cheesecake all this with a pot of cold tea ! However the very nice waiter did bring us a few bags of crisps to go with our sandwiches when we asked for them, thankfully the handful of crisps I eat were the only redeeming part of the tea party. Wouldn't recommend I'm afraid 👎
