If you're looking for a nice, cozy, and comfortable place in Wales (near Colwyn Bay), you should definitely consider Staveley House. We had a great stay there. Sally, the co-owner, was super nice and helpful. She provided excellent recommendations for nearby restaurants (all within walking distance). It's in a great location--five-minute walk to the promenade on the water. Staveley House...

Peter has stayed here several times when visiting his dad. He always comments on how comfortable he feels & how welcome Sally & Steve make him feel. This was my first visit & I was not dissapointed. The rooms are comfortable, pleasantly decorated. There is parking for two cars on the property & there is parking on the side street....

This B&B is easy to find, located on an upper road above the promenade. it is a 10 minute walk to a sandy beach with fantastic views around the bay. The house has a small amount of off street parking and plenty of safe on street parking very close by. the welcome is warm and the rooms comfortable and clean...

We used Staveley House as a stopover on our way to Ireland (it's a short drive to Holyhead port) and certainly weren't disappointed. Very welcoming owners, huge rooms (fit the two of us and our baby with loads to spare), excellent cleanliness and a great breakfast to start a day of travelling. Couldn't ask for more, we'll surely stay again...

We have stayed in Rhos on many occasions and tried other B and Bs. This one is by far the most luxurious and definitely has the best breakfast. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. Would recommend.

Lovely B&B with friendly owners. The room was pretty, comfortable & well furnished, with decaf teabags available (which I'd specially asked for). There was a lovely view of the sea. Lots of magazines available was a nice touch. It was a very windy day & the windows rattled a lot! But it was quiet even though on the main road....

Good welcome, lovely charmingly decorated room with a view of the sea, quiet even though it is on a busy road - good double glazing! The room wasn't hot, a failing of many hotels and B&Bs. I had a strained back, so the quality of the bed was more keenly felt by me, a slightly better quality mattress would have...

We stayed her early Sept 2014. Sally made us feel right at ease. Gave us a rundown on where we were headed (Llanrwst to see some grave) and tips on getting there.Very clean room. Compact bath but everything we wanted. Great breakfast. All you want from a traditional English (oops Welsh) B&B

We were greeted warmly by the owner Sally who immediately put us at our ease. Our spacious room had a very comfortable bed and 2 armchairs next to the 2 sash windows overlooking the quiet rear garden. An ideal place to rest after a days exertions before going out for our evening meal. The breakfast, served in a bright airy...

“the 2 rooms at the rear are quiet as they face the rear garden. we had the spacious room at the rear with attached bathroom. Don't let this put you off. There are only 4 rooms and the other 3 are en-suite. The bathroom is immediately next to the bedroom and the owners provide robes if you wish to use them.”
