We stayed here for 5 nights while looking at real estate. Everything is so clean - from the lobby to the hallways to the room. I can't say enough how clean and spotless it all is.

The very first night, my husband needed some over the counter cold meds. What I didn't realize was that the Villages basically shuts everything down at 9 pm. I went down to the lobby and Dawn was behind the desk and she made a call for me to check to see if 7-11 had what I needed. Super helpful and so nice.

The breakfast was a made to order which was reasonably priced at $16 each and I have to say offered the best Belgian waffles I've ever had. Unfortunately, with COVID, they are only open on the weekend.

Our room was on the 6th floor. It's so nice not having nasty carpet in a hotel room. The bed and pillows were so comfortable. Free wifi. Free parking. No resort fee. Fridge in the room. Walk in shower. Everything was top notch.

Again, with COVID, no regular maid service which was fine. We called down whenever we needed the trash taken out or more tissues etc and they would have someone there within 10 mins.

I can't say enough good things. The staff was all very friendly and everything was so clean and beautiful. Will definitely be back for when we buy our home and do the closing.

My wife and I decided to take a last minute holiday weekend camping trip. We spent one night on the Ocklawaha River in a tent after canoeing all day and continued on in the canoe the next morning. We also planned to do a social distance visit with my wife's grandparents the following day. Knowing we would be exhausted, we wanted to spend the next night somewhere confortable but not outrageously expensive. We got off the river about 5 o'clock. We drove an hour to the Brownwood. Having made the reservation last minute, I goofed and booked for the following Saturday. Zack at check in obviously could not find our reservation for that night, and quickly found my mistake. He was very gracious and was able to accomodate us without a proper reservation. The hotel was beautifully done up in a ranch-like decor that made you feel very comfortable and at home. The lobby chairs were cushy and comfy. The room was immaculately clean and well appointed. Sleeping in the bed was like resting on a cloud. The shower was huge with ample water pressure. We could not have been more comfortable. Our only complaint was that we were there during a pandemic and the restaurant had a limited menu. But we cannot possibly fault the hotel for that. We have found our hotel for every time we visit the wife's grandparents in the Villages.

The common areas are beautiful, spacious and have a relaxed elegance. Lovely location for a wedding, special event or business. The rooms are fun and make you feel you are sleeping in a paddock or on a ranch. All fabrics and surfaces seemed chosen to maintain very high standards of health and cleanliness. Amazing wall paper and use of wood plank floors with easy cleaning carpet were perfect. Great coffee center in room though I was not able to get the refrigerator to a temp that would freeze my ice packs or keep my left overs cool. While I loved the room I do have to share a few observations some may find helpful. I am 5'2" and I found the following - I felt I should be taller. The Rain shower is nice but I don't wash me hair every time and needed to use the hand shower feature and that was only adjustable to aim directly at my face. There weren't any grab bars to use to step out of the shower. The lighted mirror is very high and can only be angled for my use in down position with me looking directly upward. I could not get close to put in my contact lenses. The hairdryer kept setting off the breaker so I had to repeatedly reset. When retiring at night I had to pull the nightstand out to find an outlet near the bed to recharge the phone. If you adjust the thermostat after retiring for the evening a bright light comes on and makes the room bright for a long time before resetting to dark. The first thing to see is when you awake in the morning is the cement ceiling. It is the only thing that brings you back to the paddock before you look around at the amazing room. Overall I was very happy with my experience and look forward to staying there again.

The hotel itself is very nice and Logan at the front desk was extremely nice and welcoming. Besides him that is where the good part ended.

I was charged $100.00 for fecal material being in a trash can. This charge was never disclosed to me. I did not receive a phone call or email about the situation. I’ve traveled extensively all over the world and never been charged a housekeeping fee. As the parent of 5 children, I never place wipes in the toilet as it can harm the plumbing system but I would recommend if you stay here that you do so to avoid being charged. I assume this charge will stop once the plumber has to come out a few times. The worst part is not being notified in any way and trying to be sneaky about it and just charging my card again without notice.

I suggest you look elsewhere when staying in the area as we frequent the area often but will find alternative accommodations. Also keep in mind if you stay here you will not receive daily housekeeping unless you ask for it before 3pm the day before. This policy is purposely done so that no one can request the room to be serviced the next day after check in. Very sneaky and one of the men at the desk did not even like that I asked for extra towels at 12 noon and stated he would do it best after writing my room number on a piece of paper.

I was traveling with a teenager and needed a room large enough for us both to have our own space. This hotel was absolutely perfect. Our room had two full bathrooms and a pullout sofa and a small kitchen area with a microwave and refrigerator. Located near the Villages there are plenty of dining options, nearby grocery store, and even a Wolfgang Puck Restaurant on site. Although there are no laundry services on the premises there is a laundry mat located a few miles away from the hotel. I must admit that the cow and horse themed décor was a bit overwhelming. However the modern look and feel of the hotel coupled with the cleanliness was beyond anything I ever expected. What I most appreciated about this property was the warmth and friendliness of the hotel staff. Especially Dominique. Dominique really went out of his way to make sure that we were comfortable. If you are ever in the area, I highly recommend this hotel.

Your first impression when entering the lobby is of luxury. The meeting area, elevator lounges, main lobby and guest rooms are equal to top brands like Hilton and Hyatt. The hallways have plush carpet and padded walls to muffle sounds. There are ample seating areas to meet with friends or professional acquaintances. The pool was adequate for most adults. The room decor carried through with the horses and cows of the paddock theme with pine walls and shelves, cow themed headboard, and "wood" flooring. The king bed was perfectly comfortable. We had a little trouble setting the thermostat for the room. The bathroom was a spectacular bright glass and granite suite. There was a small "dorm" refrigerator and coffee/tea maker but no microwave. Ice maker near the elevator but no vending machines. Publix and Subway nearby as well as many restaurants around Brownwood Paddock Square, including Scooples for ice cream and breakfast, Dunkin donuts, Five Guys, McAlister's Deli and more. The hotel offers an a la carte breakfast for $20pp.

I am back again writing reviews. Due to the pandemic and my health, my wife and I have not been traveling. We are currently staying at the Brownwood Hotel and Spa. It’s a very nice well-kept property. The rooms are large and comfortable. However, my rating would have been a five, but I gave it a four for the following reason. My daughter and her children came up from Fort Myers to be with us. When they arrived they were very hungry. It was one-ish or so in the afternoon, so we decided to venture out to a recommended location by the hotel called Flippers Pizzeria. Incidentally their food was very tasty, and plentiful. We all took to go boxes back to the hotel thinking they would provide a microwave due to the fact that there wasn’t one in the room. We were told that the only rooms that have microwaves were suites. My friends that’s microwave discrimination. I paid for two rooms that equaled the cost of a suite. The bottom line here is If you have kids especially hungry ones, don’t stay at this hotel unless you’re in a suite, you like cold pizza and cold pasta. We don’t, and threw $$ away in the process.

First off, we had to come to the area to lay our dear father to rest. Losing the patriarch of our family was a very difficult and sad time. This hotel was actually a bright spot in our stay. We had no idea what a gorgeous place it was. I chose it solely because it was the closest place available to the church where the funeral was held. We couldn’t have asked for a nicer stay. The staff was so courteous and friendly. The entire place was immaculately clean and fresh. The bed and sheets were probably the most comfortable we’ve ever slept in. The doors are solid and very high quality, so it was very quiet. We thought we were the only ones there. We had a pool view room on the 4th floor. We loved the poured concrete ceilings. It has a western type theme but upscale and chic. Everything was well thought out in the rooms. Tommy Bahama body wash and high end shampoos and amenities. Housekeeping is upon request daily so never an issue. We’re not messy so we only requested it every other day. The breakfast buffet was lovely. You order the hot items, and help yourself to the cold items. Plenty to choose from. The Wolfgang Puck restaurant did not disappoint. The food and service there were delightful as well. The lobby bar was a great addition. Paula was our favorite bartender. The pool has huge cabanas available at no additional cost. Pool towels are provided in a cabinet there poolside. We can’t wait to return just to relax and try the spa at a happier time. Overall, this is the nicest hotel in the area and we highly recommend it.

My husband and I recently stayed here while visiting family in The Villages. Conveniently located, the hotel was clean and the staff were great. We had breakfast from the Chef's Studio. There were lots of hot and cold options and for the price, we got way more food than we could eat. There is a small sundries shop, a bar and a restaurant as well. Only points of concern were inability to turn off the HVAC fan so it was blowing in our faces all night and the rooms weren't very soundproof especially for a new hotel - good amount of noise when the people above us walked around. Would definitely stay here again.

We have just returned from staying at The Brownwood Hotel & Spa in The Villages from April 29th -May 3rd and besides the location which for those visiting the Villages is centrally located and close to Brownwood Square although walkable I would not recommend it as I had to walk over to Brownwood Square to pick up a golf cart rental this is a long mile walk in the heat. This Hotel I would definitely recommend and if we are back in the area I will be back at The Brownwood Hotel. The hotel is very clean and I saw on multiple occasions the staff doing the little things that are usually not noticed like dusting of chandeliers and your white glove will still be clean after staying at this hotel.Housekeeping is done every other day and on the off day there was a knock at the door to see if we needed towels or paper products. The employees at the front desk always polite and friendly as were any employees we had contact with. The pool was a home run every afternoon as a way to cool off and relax as there are plenty of chairs and chaise lounges in the sun and shade. There is a Wolf Gang Puck restaurant on premises and breakfast buffet but we did not use either one.Another big plus is no resort fee which seems to be a automatic these days and thank you to management for giving your guests this savings and no parking fee which has turned into another ridiculous add on to a lot of hotels now charge just to use their parking lot. This savings could be 25-45 per night for the four nights we were there was much appreciated. Absolutely stay here you’ll be glad you did.
