Shout out to Annie at the front desk! Her welcoming attitude made us feel amazing! So helpful and chock full of info ! That is the most welcome I have EVER, in my 55 years, felt at a hotel! Thanks Annie! ♥️Heather & Omar Barsimantov
We stayed at the Hampton Inn and Suites Lady Lake the Villages last night for one night as a stop over heading further south. The hotel, as Hampton’s go, was very nice. I’m a Hilton Diamond member and have stayed in many a Hampton Inn. Ric at the front desk was very helpful and efficient. He offered us cold waters and answered a few question thoughtfully. The hotel lobby and room was very clean. Parking was plentiful. The location is great being adjacent to the Villages with many dining options. Breakfast was good including hot items and prepackaged pastries and bagels, boiled eggs and cereals. As I am writing this I realize that I did not see the traditional Hampton waffles. Maybe they have not returned in the post pandemic offerings yet or maybe I missed them. The front desk staff this morning for check out was also very friendly and helpful. All in all a very nice Hampton stay. Would def stay here again.…
I was only here for one night, but if I have to travel in this area agin this will be a go to place. First the expected, as a Hilton property it was exactly as I expected. Check in was easy and the lady on the front desk on the night of 12/15 was awesome. Very friendly and took care of check in an efficient way and with a smile. She informed me of when breakfast would be available, info on the wi-fi and that the hotel was under going renovations and that construction would start at 8:00 am. I was planning on being up and ready to go by that time but had I been a traveler who was a later riser this was relevant and good info to have before going to my room for the night. Now for the unexpected, I have some issues with allergies and often when making an online reservation I will put in the 'guest request box' a comment about my allergies and if a hypoalergenic or waterproof type of mattress cover is available for the bed. I leave my email or a cell number to call so that I know. Most of the times I hear nothing and just pack extra allergy medicine just in case. However, in this case I did receive a call on the morning of my arrival date. I was in a meeting when the call came in but I received a voice mail from Carmen to let me know that they did not have any waterproof covers for a king bed (the room type I had booked) but that they did have them for queen room. She asked if I wanted to switch room types or stay with the King. Now before I even got out of my meeting to see the message, only about 10 minutes later from the first call, Carmen had already called back to let me know that Housekeeping looked and they did have a cover for the king and to not worry, my bed would have it on it. I did call and talked with Carmen to let her know that a queen room would be fine and not to make extra work for Housekeeping. She told me not to worry and that a protective mattress cover would be on my king bed for me upon my arrival. And yes upon my arrival there was a waterproof/allergy cover on my bed. I must admit when she said waterproof cover I though it would be some crinkly plastic/vinyl . I experienced this type of cover used during stays at other hotels. However, I was surprised and impressed to find that it was not this type of cover and may have been more hypoallergenic than waterproof. Best part was it worked, I had no allergy flare up the next day. All in all a great stay and experience. Thanks to Carmen for the follow up and to housekeeping on the bed protection. Sorry for the extra work but thanks to it I didn't need any extra allergy meds to get me through the days work. JT…
Nice stay. Breakfast was decent even omelets some mornings. Only caffeine option was light roast which i don't care for. Room was clean and decent. Would have liked a safe in the room. Nice elliptical and weights in small gym. Only complaint was a couple of barking dogs and the air conditioner was quite noisy when it was running. I would likely stay here again. Overall decent value.
I needed a one-night stay near the Villages, and this Hampton Inn worked out perfect. Check-in was easy, and the front desk staff was very helpful. I would select this hotel again for my next visit. I did notice that restaurants in the area closed at 8pm, so future travelers should plan ahead.
Great hotel great staff no complaints. Right in the middle of the villages, conveniently located amidst shopping and golf. Fabulous dinner locations but most of all staff was friendly and inviting. Couldn’t ask for better!
The room did not c ome up to Hilton standards on any level. The room was dusty, the curtains were broken and maid service was virtually nonexistant. They even ran out of paper plates at breakfast so we had to eat breakfast out of cereal bowls.
I requested a new room because I saw bugs in my room and the receptionist told me "they're just sugar ants" and denied me a new room. Then she told me whoever had the ant spray last didn't return it and gave me alcohol spray to wipe down my room. I never saw a housekeeping person my entire 3 night stay. The trash was never taken out of my room.
We selected this hotel as we are Hilton members and were coming to The Villages to visit family. We paid $1,000 for 4 nights and during our stay received NO room cleaning, fresh towels, nothing. Upon check in, they did not indicate they would not be serving our room. I assume it was due to Covid, but they should have ensured we at least had fresh towels. Secondly, when we asked the front desk for a wine opener and glasses, it was as if he'd never had that request before. He eventually found some (plastic, dirty glasses) and made sure we needed to return them asap. LOL. Finally, we asked for a late checkout and it was granted for 1pm. At 11:30am, the manager called us telling us that we needed to check out asap. When we advised we'd received approval for a late checkout, she said that there was a note about that, but no indication of what room / customer. Very disorganized and poor customer service…
I'm very particular about hotels and need to stay in a clean place. I choose this hotel based on the reviews that it was the cleanest in the area the Northern part of the Villages. So while it was vacuumed it wasn't super clean. When we checked in the toilet wasn't flushed and had toilet paper in it with blood. The room wlooked made up so I thought it was a one off. Pulling back the sheets there was hair in. Ok not, the end of the world right? Anyway there were like shoe prints on the walls stains here and small amounts of mildew in the shower. I know other hotels were way worse so I was ok with it. In the middle of the night my mother woke up turned all the lights on staying something had bit her. I saw a bite mark and her arm was red with a rash. I didn't see anything in the bed so I had her sleep in my bed. Anyway, we got an extra blanket from the closet and in the morning when looking at the plastic bag was a very much alive bed bug (Picture attached). We were suppose to stay there 6 nights but we immediately checked out. What was even more concerning is that the manager did not seemed phased or concerned at all when I brought the live bed bug to front desk wrapped on plastic. He comped the room but he didn't apologize at all and didn't say he would make sure the room was fumigated to protect future guests. I'm have a strong feeling that they are just going to re-rent the room without fumigating it. We stated in Room 220 just so you know. So with the poor housekeeping, bed bugs and being bitten and the zero concern about it from the management I would pass on this hotel.…
