Most amazing hotel experience in The Villages. This hotel is in the perfect location with beautiful views of the lake. Everything you need is on the premises. Park your car & walk to everything. Staff is wonderful. We enjoyed staying there so much we changed our flights & extended our stay. So many things I could say about this amazing hotel. A must stay
Do not stay The Waterfront Inn at the Villages, FL. Upon arrival-we were early, we were informed we had to pay $50 to check-in early (never have we had this happen anywhere). When we did check in and get settled the bathroom had not been cleaned and I found out the hard way. I went in to take my shower and there was short hairs and unused soap where you put your razor, shampoo and soap. Upon calling downstairs, I was told - at first- there was no one to clean my bathroom. When I told them what I found and had taken a picture of it, someone was sent up quickly. The rug and floor in the room was sticky, nothing had been painted or dusted in a long time. Finally, when I said we don't need housekeeping, we were informed that only happens on Monday and Thursdays anyway. The room was $379.00 a night plus tax. We did our homework but because we wanted to walk to restaurants and be a mile away from the golf camp we were attending, we decided to pay the nightly rate. Only thing we were offered., and I had to ask as they wanted to charge me $50 was a late checkout (at 12:30) We were w able to take a shower after golf camp so we didn't have to get on a plane dirty. Unless you have to stay at The Waterfront Inn, I suggest you stay somewhere else while visiting The Villages in Florida. Nothing is clean, the front desk staff (minus one lady) were not nice and we even had a housekeeper walk in our room- without knocking- while my husband was getting out of the shower. …
The location was great, but the cost was very steep for what you get. They didnt even have house keeping which was unbelievable for what you pay to stay there. the entertainment was sub par also. Thank goodness you can walk down to the square to get some real entertainment. Over all just ok. Oh and there wasnt a dresser to put away your clothes.
This is a lovely hotel in what I thought was one of the nicest areas of the Villages. It is pricey and more so if you choose to have a balcony on the lake. I like water views, so this was nice. Even though we didn't use the balcony, it was nice to have. I can't speak for the other lake views without the balcony but I was told the windows don't open. It was a very comfortable room, in a great location in what I think is my favorite neighborhood in the Villages with good restaurants and shops. I can't speak for the hotel restaurant but probably would have used it if it had been open for breakfast or lunch. If I return, I would stay here next time if I return.
I've stayed here a few times and I love it! Wonderful location right in the heart of the town square with cafes, shops, live music and dancing outside. Great pool overlooking the water. Nice staff. Friendly.
Was able to enjoy the live music in the square and all within walking distance of a great Barnes and Noble, all the restaurants and walk along the lake. Good chance to check out the Villages. Very safe to walk around, and really friendly staff. The onsite restaurant has limited hours but other alternatives exist.
This hotel is known for its convenient location and beautiful views of Lake Sumter. We've stayed here many times and always have a nice experience. The front desk people are always cheerful and helpful. Free coffee and newspaper each morning is great too. The housekeeping staff is always great. Thanks to Damaris and Maricela! The on-site restaurant never disappoints! Thank you Vinny. Musical entertainment is also provided with dinner too. As you can tell we highly recommend this hotel.
The only light in the room came from two lamps. One of the lamps did not have a functioning light bulb. When I went to the front desk to get a bulb the receptionist said there was no way to get a bulb until morning. She said they were locked in a cupboard and she couldn’t get them. Also, the rooms are only cleaned twice a week but you can put your dirty towels in the hall. They picked up the towels but didn’t give me new ones. I asked the front desk to give me new towels and they said they would take care of it. However, they didn’t take care of it so I had to go back again and ask for towels. This is my fourth stay at this hotel snd it has gone downhill. It used to be very nice
Terrible. Terrible. Terrible. Expensive lakefront double queen balcony room 226 with large street lamp right outside the window shining into the room all night long. (And look at the condition of the window and sill!) They say the city controls the light, but how about some blackout curtains? No curtains at all, only vertical blinds that don't block the light. Making reservation months ahead we asked to be away from the pool but were right over it, right next to the lamp, and they couldn't move us. Also, sink sluggish, shower head leaked, maid service only on certain days (not during our stay). Far from being, as they claim, "one of Florida's premiere hotel destinations," it has more the feel of a motel, and not a good one at that. Then, they double billed us. Full room charge PLUS full room charge again with $100 added as a hold. That's not how it should be done. The $100 should have been separate, with the room charged ONCE not TWICE. And how about telling me about it? Instead, I saw the double charge plus $100 and had to waste my time calling them about it. Learn how to run a hotel.…
This was a great place in the heart of the Villages for a long weekend stay. The room was more thancomfortable and the beds were much better than most hotels from 4 to 5 star rates. Very clean and a great location. We will be back as the staff is more than accommodating and welcoming.
