We stayed here for 3 nights. The hosts were extremely helpful. We were rained out one day but they gave us some hidden gems to visit which turned out to be fabulous. They are extremely well organized and cater ed to our needs. Would stay here again without a doubt.

We had a wonderful stay at Abel Tasman Marahau Lodge! There were 4 of us and we had 2 adjoining rooms. I gave this place a 5 out of 5 because they went above and beyond. Scott and Joce were fantastic hosts and were very accommodating. Even for our outings to other areas they had maps with where to stop... More

This was one of the most comfortable and organized places I've ever stayed. It was really perfect. The kitchen was excellent. You can tell that the owners care about this property. I highly recommend this lovely place.

We stayed 4 nights here and that just wasn't enough. I felt the owners, Joce and Scott really wanted us to enjoy our time here. You can tell because the rooms are in immaculate condition. They have a really big and peaceful garden that half the rooms look into. The other half look into the most tranquil horse paddock, backed... More

Thanks Thoughtfulconsumer for your amazing review. It's greatly appreciated. We have tried to add a few things, based on guests comments and thoughts and one of those was extra flyscreen nets. All of NZ gets bugs, we're lucky that they only comeout in the morning and evening - generally! Thanks again for your detailed review. It helps us as much... More

The lodge is a mere ten minute walk from the entrance to the Abel Tasman national park in one direction and a ten minute walk to the Marahau beach in the other direction. Beautifully set in the bucolic surroundings of the Abel Tasman landscape we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the spacious Kowhai suite. Owners were very helpful about recommending... More

Thanks for the kind review johnny_number9. It's very much appreciated. We agree that the design of the Lodge fits peffectly with the landscape of the area. Hoepfully the insides of the chalets work well with the modern day Thanks again for taking the time to review us. Cheers Joce and Scott p.s. getting the word bucolic into a review is... More

We stayed for two nights and would be happy to stay for much longer. It's clean and well equipped with great attention to detail. The breakfast delivered to the room was a particular highlight, as was sitting the deck in the ending with a drink. The friendly owners Scott and Jocelyn were very welcoming. We made great use of the... More

Thanks bighead. Great that you made the most of the food options in the Lodge. The guest kitchen is a great option both for cooking, meeting others and using the ingredients that other guests have left for others to share. It's a nice demonstration of travel sharing. And thank you for the kind words re breakfast - getting that right... More

... but modern/minimalist on the inside. It works! Lovely couple bought it a few years ago, and the care they lavish on it is readily apparent. A great place to stay. As it's right at the entrance to Abel Tasman National Park, it's convenient for great hikes of both long and short duration easily accessible from the lodge. And don't... More

Hi imacdavid Thanks for the great review. It's probably a nice summation of the Lodge. We have lovely timber chalets which have a lovely colour from exposure to the elements. Something we don't want to change. But we have renovated the insides so they do have that contrast. Thank you also for the kind words about us. It's always helpful... More

The lodge is ideally located, literally next door to the sea kayak operators and at the limit of Abel Tasman NP. We spent 3 fantastic nights here as we explored some of the walks in Abel Tasman Park using the water taxis based virtually next door. Just loved the shower which was a great help after the long walks in the park.... More
