Set in a quaint little village this hotel is a great stay. We used this for our stop over for a visit to Oradour-Sur-Glane whilst doing a bit of touring in france on the motorcycle. Lovely hotel, didn't open until 5pm, which is does state on the booking (which we didn't read correctly) so had to wait from 3 oclock...

My wife says Nougier served her the best meal of her life: how is that for starters? I say St. Etienne de Fursac may be out of your way, but make a detour, even a huge detour if necessary. Not luxurious in the opulent sense, but Nougier offers true comfort in a nicely restored historic house. Rooms and bathrooms are...

My wife and I have just got back from a bike trip down to Fursac and had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Nougier. Absolutely everything was right about this place - the ambience, the service, the location, the food - it was all superb. For a motorcycling trip, it's even better; secure parking round the back and a friendly,...

An exceptional hotel in a quiet, quaint-but-not-cutesy, authentic French village - a lovely setting. Rooms are a good size, well decorated, clean, with excellent bathrooms and comfortable beds. The main body of the hotel is smart and modern, but full of character. The food is outstanding - delicious and presented like plates of art (though, being critical, a more-extensive menu...

We booked for the Tous au resto deal which is a big thing in the area (2 for 1 offer), I rang to book and reserved a table but before I could say it was for the above deal, the person had hung up... I didn't redial because I didn't think this would be a problem - wrong.. The welcome...

What a wonderful find. A classical small family run hotel. My room was modern and well appointed. The real delight was the food. I would go out of my way to stay here again. Dinner was a wonderful experience. I choose from one of the less expensive menus. The meal was excellent. My friend choose from a more expensive menu....

Had the most amazing meal here. The food is perfectly flavoured and beautifully presented. The staff are polite and friendly, formal but not over bearing. Palate cleansees before and during the meal were a nice surprise. Service was exemplary and not a thing was out of place. Not sure about the earlier reviews but note an English restaurant opened two...

We just needed a stopover on our way to Albas and did find on the internet this lovely location to have a rest, enjoy the countryside and some marvelous dishes! An interesting wine list and a more than friendly staff made it complete! Next day the owner gave us a grand tour of the hotel, gardens and swimming pool! We...
