We spent a week here in September with KE Adventure. The house was very comfortable. Breakfast was outside each morning and dinner with hosts Jamie and Ailsa, along with Eva who helped and Fin the lurcher, who was a sweetie. Food was delicious and greatly enjoyed by veggies and carnivores too. The wine that was provided each evening was good... More

We were a party of 9, ranging in age from 16 to 83; a multi-generational gathering of my wife's family. The accommodation in the farnhouse was first-rate, although since we were there in July we spent most of the time outdoors. The outdoor living spaces were great: long tables on 2 sides of the house, so you were able to... More

We stayed here as part of a walking group booked through KE travel. The villa was beautiful, in an idyllic situation with a beautiful swimming pool, gardens and the most amazing views.Jamie and Ailsa were the perfect hosts with lots of local knowledge. Ailsa cooked amazing meals which were very much enjoyed by all the group. I would thoroughly recommend... More

My wife and I spent a wonderful week at Col di Lavacchio in September 2014 with a guided hiking group. The hiking led by Lindsay Cannon, a superb and fun guide, was exciting and challenging. One of the most challenging aspects of the hikes was simply leaving the gorgeous grounds of Col di Lavacchio, a restored farm in rural Tuscany.... More

Earlier this month, I went on a Tracks and Trails 'Wild Tuscany' walking holiday to Col Di Lavacchio. Everything about it was wonderful: the farmhouse accommodation (not forgetting the pool and the pizza oven); the hospitality of the owners, Ailsa and Jamie; Ailsa's cooking (bliss, especially the delicious packed lunches with not a sandwich or bag of crisps in sight);... Have just returned from a wonderful guided walking holiday, booked through Tracks and Trails, and staying at Lavacchio. The villa/farmhouse is in a stunning location, with great views and a real Tuscan feel. The accommodation is very comfortable and is of a high standard. Jamie and Ailsa do everything to make your stay special and memorable (for the right reasons!)... More

I stayed there for my yoga retreat. Lavacchio is located in an extremely scenic and peaceful place in the Tuscan mountains. The property has all the mod cons you can wish for and is nicely decorated. The surroundings are breathtaking and it is very easy to go trekking in the mountains. If you prefer to relax there is a swimming... More
