Franca & Marina Chessa know how to make you feel like family when you stay at their air bnb! This mother/daughter host are so warm and welcoming. They are communicative & flexible regarding check-in and what your needs are. We were welcomed to dinner upon our arrival and joined Marina for her dog walking in the evening. We were surprised & delighted with a tour of the village. Along the way, Marina and Franca were most gracious in exploring my Sardinian family history with me, the purpose of which the trip was for. Breakfast was delicious and was traditional Sardinian fare and then some! Our room was large, comfortable, with an outdoor seating area. Every comfort was provided and then some! Private access with our own entrance and key was an added plus. Parking was right outside the front door! We can't say enough about our gracious hosts! We feel like family!

This visit was a random one but also the nicest! The best owner, the cosiest room, the tastiest breakfast! Landlady baked two pies for us and made a cheese for a morning meal :) Our four person company felt like visiting a grandmother ;)

What a fantastic B&B with Italian hospitality at it's very best. We stayed for 3 nights whilst attending a friends wedding in the village and the owner was very helpful and language barrier was not a problem. We had a clan of noisy children with us which was never a problem with the owner. Highly recommended.

We are a Catalan couple from Barcelona and we spend 6 fantastic days in sa Chessa. The ubication is perfect to get to know the North coast of Sardenya, as it's not far away for any touristic place. We visited Stintino, Aisnara Island, CastelSardo, Isola Rosa, costa Paraiso, costa Smeralda, Santa Teresa de Galura and we did an impressive route through Margarita Island (booked in advance from Sa chessa). Franca( the owner) is a really sweet woman who treats the hosters as a member of her family and prepare a special breakfast every morning that make you feel like at home. She also recommends you places to visit and good and cheap restaurant to go to have something. Definetely, we'll come back.

We visit sa Chessa for one night during our one week holyday on Sardinia. Although we never personally met the owner Marina, we liked her very much. That's not only because of her personal approach of handling the booking and for being a tolk (by telephone) during our conversations with her mother but also for her hospitality. Our family consist of 4 persons and Marina put an extra bed on the 3-persons room although we offered to bring our own air matrass. During the night of our stay our son (11 years old) got sick and that was noted by our hostess (the mother of Marina). In the morning she gave our son fresh tee and a very special personal treatment. She made a delicious breakfast with own made jam and cake. I advise everybody who intends to visit Sardinia to consider a visit at Sa Chessa. You won'r regret it. Fam. van Uittert

My husband and I had 3 wonderfull nights and days in the Sa chessa family house. A well cared for breakfast (each day other variations) with fresh fruits and home-made sweets, music and shepard's bread were our part. The room was very spacious and crisp clean and the newly renovated bathroom very comfortable. In the mean time we enjoyed the village hospitality and festivities at the "Santa-semana". Ploaghe is ideal to discover the Northren part of the Sardinian Island with beautifull cities as Alghero and Castel Sardo (old town), Tempio Pausiana and the rural country side as well as the beautifull seaside. Ou kindest regards to you all, and we hope to Lillo as well. Katelijne and Peter Linders.

Located in Ploaghe, where I hear you ask? A large, very authentic, Sardinian village with lots of small bars around a plaza, including one really good Sardinian restaurant and some decent pizzerias/bistros. The LP and RG don't mention it, fortunately for them (Ploaghe) and us. The B&B was quite special: the host was the most wonderful advocate of 'real' Sardinian food and life; local breads, jams, cheese and meats served daily with lovely fresh coffee for breakfast. I never quite worked out what time breakfast was served, the host was always there with a incredibly sincere warm greeting and a new Italian phrase, or word in Doz's case, to learn. She booked us restaurants and told us of the best beaches to visit, phoning her English speaking daughter daily to translate for her - nothing was too much trouble. You need a hire car to stay here but the coast is only 45 minutes to the west (Alghero) or 70 mins east to Olbia, both places are served by airports. This B&B is a real find, the shared bathroom really shouldn't deter you and I'm glad I didn't allow this to put me off. Oh and it's amazingly good value as are most good things in Ploaghe - keep it quiet!
