We booked an overnight stay with dinner for my in-laws and my wife and I also. Great price but we see always wary about "deals". However we need not be so. This is an absolute gem if a hotel. Only 30 bedrooms in beautiful countryside with23 acres of grounds. We upgraded to a suite, for only £20 per room, and...

We had the pleasure of staying at The Gibbon Bridge to celebrate a friends wedding. The location is stunning, set in the forest of Bowland in Yorkshire. Our room (VIP Suite) was a spacious duplex with a large bathroom complete with Whirlpool Bath. The hotel grounds are lovely and ideal for wondering and exploring. They have 2 resident pigs in...

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. No, it doesn't have a Spa, but who needs a spa with views and gardens like this? No, we couldn't get a mobile phone reception, but not really necessary as free WiFi = access to messenger etc. We did need to phone home, however this was no problem...

The crown of course being the beautiful scenery here in the Forest of Bowland. The jewel is this fantastic hotel, almost hidden away in the rolling countryside. The food is exceptional, as is the staff. The rooms are very comfortable as well as furnished to a very high standard. The hotel is ideal for those looking for a base to...

The room for our 2 day break was No 4 (Fairsnape). It has a large double bed, 2 singles pushed together, which was quite firm but comfortable, an ensuite with a whirlpool bath and a sitting area, down 3 steps, where the television, iron, ironing board and tea making facilities are situated. Tea and coffee is provided but, surprisingly, no...

We stayed just one night unfortunately at this 4 star hotel. More than we imagined a hotel was going to be in the Forest of Bowland - given that we have never stayed in this area before. All staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient. Our room was a definite wow! Big room with an even bigger bathroom. All the...

Spent two nights mid week for our Anniversary at this lovely Hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful and the food was excellent. The grounds and garden are beautifully maintained with a number of outdoor, covered eating areas. We had a really excellent couple of days, the only minor issue being that, in the evening, the hotel lacked atmosphere. We would...

We stayed here in May after a gap of about 15 years. A Travelzoo offer tempted us to return. Initial impressions weren't good as we were told we couldn't use the bar for several hours due to a wedding. We went to our room which was over 2 floors and I have to say was tired and in desperate need...

We held my wife's 80th birthday lunch on Sunday 22nd June 2014. There were 32 diners. Reception, service and food were wonderful taken in their orangery with vast spacious patios. Wonderful weather really made the day. The gardens are quite magnificent . Cannot speak highly enough of it. Didn't use hotel facilities which are superb. JWE, PRESTON.

We only stopped here for Sunday lunch on our way home from Lytham St Annes and we absolutely loved everything about this place. They catered for people who have coeliac disease (gluten free) WITHOUT EXCLUSION …. something that is very hard to find! They offer guten-free bread and rolls - all home made in their on-site bakery - delicious! We...
