Having spent a week on the island self catering, spent a few nights b+b. Excellent, owners, excellent, room and views, will stay again. The b+b is in a good location short walk to main street, breakfasts are just right not to much, and not to little, Richard and Jane are helpful and can sell boat tickets so no queue at... More

We rented the flat for a week to celebrate my birthday and it was a complete joy. The situation is perfect for walkers being so close to the Garrison and so many other marvellous walks. It is also very accessible to the town for shopping (and the Fish and Chip van!) It was wonderful to sit at the dining table... More

Lovely B&B in a superb location with incredible views over the sea and Hugh Town. The breakfasts were delicious and the hosts Richard and Jane are so welcoming and helpful. Loved it and would highly recommend Kistvaen.

We chose this b+b based on excellent reviews and they did not let us down. Our en-suite bedroom and excellent breakfasts have delivered a wonderful start to our first Scilly Isles holiday. So long as you can manage steps and tight stairs, this is the place to aim for if you want a b+b in St. Marys, Handy for both boat... More

We enjoyed a great stay at Kistvaen, with a lovely view over the beach and within a short walk to some really good restaurants. Our room was quiet and comfortable, and although we are not keen on twin beds these were very comfortable so no problems there. Just a tiny bathroom with just a shower, but everything worked well. Excellent... More

Full marks – hosts Richard and Jane are so attentive and helpful, the house is so comfortable and well-maintained and the breakfasts are substantial (if you want) and healthy (if you want). It was very helpful to be able to get boat tickets there and avoid the queues, Jane was great about obtaining lobsters for us when we wanted them... More

Nestled back from the beach and in an elevated position all three rooms have a very nice sea view. Clean and tidy with freshly laundered linen and towels, each room is on suite with TV, Tea and Coffee facilities, this place is a domestic house but affords a separate entrance which prevents disturbance to the proprietors when one returns late,... Having just returned from our stay at the Kistvaen I felt I had to write this review. The Kistvaen B&B has got to be one of the best if not the best on St Mary's. We stayed in the Spring Room with excellent views over Porthcressa Beach. The view was fantastic. The room itself was so comfortable with everything you... More

Love this place, so friendly and welcoming. All the rooms have superb views of Porthcressa Beach and it is only a few minutes walk to the harbour. Breakfasts are great to cater for every taste. Been back time and time again and you will want to too!!

We have stayed at Kistvaen twice now, having the room with the double bed but which does not have the best views of the bay that the two twin rooms have. However, the side window does have a nice view if you look sideways a bit. If that sounds a bit negative, then that is the only downside of choosing... More
