Had a lovely break here in a room partially overlooking the loch. The food was excellent and the staff very friendly and efficient. I think the hotel was in theprocess of quietly upgrading. A beautiful old building right above the loch. There is only one elderly lift and some rooms are a distance from reception

Stayed as part of a Lochs & Glens holiday. Stunning location and impressive building but a little past it's best and could do with a little bit of TLC. Staff are great, nothing is too much trouble, food OK and what you would expect from an hotel which seems to cater only for coach tours. All in all perfectly acceptable...

This lovely old building is in need of some upgrading, but nothing detracts from the Victorian splendour. The views across Loch Awe were amazing. Food good & plenty of choice. Room good though better if not looking onto rubbish bins. Staff were very friendly, welcoming & helpful.

My friends and I agree with the stunning views....however we were told to call in for a coffee on our way to Oban and we were obviously an inconvenience as the reception we got from both members of staff was very frosty and unwelcoming, shame really as the five of us had considered staying here 😒

This is an idyllic spot, and our loch side apartment was well equipped and very comfortable. All the staff were very helpful and obliging, the laundry service a boon and the food excellent, both breakfast and evening meals. The loch is beautiful, different in all lights. We enjoyed out three night stay very much.

Overall a very good stay. Hotel location was excellent with stunning views, in a very quiet position. I must agree with another review that some of the furniture is in need of repair with the entertainment area seating very uncomfortable and seat coverings in need of replacement. The service was excellent from all staff and the food was of high...

This hotel is amazing, great staff, great food and great location. We had a wonderful room a double and single in it, lots of room to walk about without getting in each others way, there were only two in here so plenty of room. The view was lovely the lock side and we could see the train below (if your...
