We stayed at Chateau Bellevue for 4 nights in late April-early May. The place is absolutely beautiful and sits on a hill with a splendid view of vineyards and the river. The rooms are large and very comfortable. Petra, our host, was extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast is a real treat at Chateau Bellevue, as Petra sets a wonderful table....

Looks great in the ad. Booked two nights, stayed one and left. Wonderful location and a great structure but not kept up, disorganized, stuff scattered around and two dogs with the run of the place. The owner and sole employee talked about her problems, how the place was in escrow to a foreign buyer etc. Keep looking, this is not...

One of the most beautiful château I've ever stayed. The moment you pass through the main gate, you enter a different world of beauty, aesthetic and confort. The castle is extremely well maintained and decorated with the "délicatesse" of a woman. Most of the art exposed has been painted by her and fits greatly with the atmosphere of the place....

Read all the reviews before making any reservations. The place is OK if you are looking for tranquility, a stroll between the vineyards, visiting wine cellars. One thing to notice is that you are in a village, and there is nothing around. The chateau is not the huge, the room was well situated on the last floor overlooking the vineyards,...

An amazing Chateau in the Bordeaux area just a ferry ride across the the river from the Medoc wine area and a short drive to Saint Emilion and other neat wine areas in Bordeaux - and they have their own Chateau wine which is very pleasant - the building is amazing and our room was outstanding (on the third floor...

My wife and I had never been to France, but were there on our honeymoon. We spent some time in a Paris but wanted to get out of the city for a while. I booked this place before leaving the US based solely on the pictures, but never expected it to look as good in real life. After taking a...

The hotel is down town and near to every important spot of the city. The transportation from and to the airport is very easy. The rooms are clean and the service is good. The general problem is that it is dificult to communicate in english because nobody speaks english in the hotel! The only problem was that the the hallways...

Booked a B&B in Bordeaux having never been there before. Drove up to the address on the GPS and almost began to cry as it was the furthest thing from what I imagined a Bordeaux B&B would be - on a grimy street 2 blocks from the train station. My husband got online and found Chateau Bellevue on Tripadvisor. We...

I've been everywhere, man, and this was the most astonishing experience of my life. Live like a French king with the delicious meals prepared by the owner, the artist Petra Dick. The views across the Gironde estuary are beyond belief. The interior has been restored to the most impeccable standards by architects briefed to reproduce the beauty of Versailles and...

It's been a dream of mine to tour some of the chateaus of the Bordeaux region. However this trip was more than I could dream of. Chateau Bellevue was so beautiful I thought I had died and gone to heaven. From the gorgeous garden, the fabulous castle like architecture, the million dollar view of the river and perfectly organised vinyards,...
