We were greeted by the friendly owner upon arrival and shown to our ground floor room which was spacious and well appointed. Breakfast was taken with the other guests and hosts around a large wooden table. Apart from the orange juice everything was made on the farm or locally, all really delicious. Before departure we did a 3 mile walk...

We spent toe days there in July and enjoyed it very much. Our room was very clean and comfortable, the shared sitting room was full of useful booklets and an honesty fridge, and there were delightful outside seating areas. Our host and hostess were very kind and the food was excellent. We would definitely return.

My mother and baby son and I stayed here for two nights last week. We enjoyed our stay very much indeed, especially the breakfast and the dinner we had there (make sure to ask for this in advance) all made with local produce and the bread and yogurt and jams all homemade and very delicious. The "superior" room was good,...

Very warm hearted B&B with a host and hostess that go through great lengths to make you feel very welcome and at home. The host has plenty of information on offer on the region and the hostess is a genuine cordon bleu that regales you with the traditional cuisine of the region. The rooms are very spacious and neat, the...

I arrived to find about ten lovely donkeys in loose boxes in deep litter. There were also a horse and a couple of ponies. Some ewes were also enjoying a happy retirement in the dry. Hens in beautiful condition were scratching around. I knew then that this was an ideal place for the three nights I was going to spend...

I was travelling from Venice to Zeebrugge and made a number of stops along the way and this was my FAR the jewel in the crown. I loved it. I loved: the animals (donkeys, dog, horse, cats etc) the hospitality and generosity of my hosts (coming outside to greet me etc) the food (stayed for dinner - do take the...

The apartment is located in the countryside of Avesnes-sur-Helpe, relatively close to the Belgian - France border. All facilities and accommodations were fairly and courteously prepared, not for the extravagance, made us quite comfortable. This pleasant environment and friendliness, even felt from many animals such as dog, cat, horse and donkeys wandering around, might derive from the full of honest...

We stayed two nights and dined one night. What a great place! This is a nineteenth century farmhouse that has been very well renovated as a comfortable B & B. I can't wait to come back with my daughter. Stephane and Barbara are very thoughtful hosts who run a very well maintained B & B. They spent a lot of...
