I overnighted here on my way to East London. I was well received by Maggie. The Room was Clean, Neat & Tidy and had all the necessary Implements. The View from the Deck is great! I was on my way at 6-15am so didn't have time for Breakfast. Would definitely pop in again some time.

VERY Enegetic hostess and laid back skipper (Sundays River Ferry) as landlords. Neat clean cheap. Easy entrance to Addo (we found eliphants only north). No swimming pool as advertised. In our unit (up top behild) cooking area cramped inside and wash area 5m away though bedroom outside

We had a good time here due to the good breakfast ( she made pancakes especially for us ) and the friendliness of her! The facilities are a little bit outdated but work fine. Also the location is great!

After driving the Garden route, we had time so we decided to visit the Addo elephant camp. Found this lodge on the internet and communicated via email. The speed and professionalism of the response was fantastic so we booked it wondering if it would live up to the description. Upon arrival, we were met by the owner, Maggie, who just...

We stayed here last week and found the setup ideal. A short distance from the Addo Elephant Reserve, we had a self-catered 2 bedroom cottage for 2 adults and 2 children aged 11/12. There was a nice outdoor bbq area with chairs, table and sink and a living room/dining room inside too which we didn't use. Overall, we were really...

We received a warm welcome from Maggie and Les and she gave us very good advice on what to do in the Addo Elephant Park which was the reason we were there overnight. The room we were in was small and compact, with what you need for an overnight stop. The other rooms off the house looked much larger so...

Maggie is the most delightful host i have met. She is personal and cared for you as her own family. She gives good advise on local activities and is always willing to help. I was very happy there. My children played on the immaculate lawns and we had the priviledge of seeing a sunbird nesting in our units patio. Maggie...

Hi Maggie and Les, We arrived home safely here in Napier early evening yesterday. There were clear signs of storm damage both to the house and road up to our house but otherwise all was well. We had a wonderful break. We were privileged to meet many B&B/Lodge owners on our 3 week trip but we must single out our...

We had heard so much about the Addo Elephant Game Reserve that we had to do it. The Addo Gateway Lodge is just outside gates to the reserve. We had the self catering apartment which was like having our own townhouse. We did though each morning have one of Maggie's continental breakfasts....... 5 star, On the Sunday we did the...

They will do whatever they can to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. Make sure you go on a Sunday's River Boat Cruise with them while you are there - it...
