Hotel du Parc will always hold a special place in our hearts. The Perigord Noir is a magical place to begin with and this hotel seems to fit perfectly within it's environment...belonging to another time, along the bank of the gentle Vezere, in the shadow of a lovely grove of trees, near all the popular sites. This hotel is built along the Vezere River a tributary of the Dordogne River.Hotel du parc was once a farm house in the village of Thonac.The owner Dominique,showed me his walnut trees(a local delicacy in the area) and allowed me to taste some of his walnuts at the bar. a very old building, with haevy smell of old building, uncomfortable beds but yet has some magic of the old buildings...the rooms are clean, the staff are very nice and helpful. good location, lot of parking, nice swimmingpool but the water had some acid taste (didn't hurt in the eyes or enything like that). the internet is available only in...
